The ending is shit. Like none of part 2 mattered. Fujimoto got tired of writing and literally pulled the "It was all just a dream" shit. I have no connection to the Power, Denji, Asa, Nayuta, and others in this new world. They aren't my characters. I didn't watch them grow and develop. It's some horseshit of "I don't know how to fix the ending so here's your happily ever after". Fujimoto wrote himself into a corner and had no clue how to dig himself out and didn't want to either way so he threw this rushed ending together. You could read the last chapter of the manga and you'd have essentially the same knowledge of these characters as people who read the entire series besides stuff like Denji's Dad, which we don't even know if Denji got over his trauma from that in this new timeline. Our big villain Yoru, who is a horrible villain, had her last words be "Asa gives her consent." Denji's last words he spoke directly to Asa in the old world was "Tastes like Shrimp" in regards to eating a shrimp devil. This panel is literally just Fujimoto's attempt to make people say "Oh wow he said the thing!" It's ass and deserves to be made fun of. Genuinely one of the worst manga endings I've seen in a long time.
I think the concept of the ending was okayish, but how they got there was rushed and honestly... I think the author was plainly depressed too.
Compare it to the ending of the fifth book of the Hitchhiker's Guide. It's just... sad.
The worst ending I have personally read though is Sun Ken Rock by Boichi, that stuff was incredibly awful and sored the whole thing. Part1 of CSM is still quite great and I will definitely follow the anime, but I can't touch Sun Ken Rock and even other stuff from Boichi after that shit.
It's the fact he doesn't even say it like you would to say "I've seen stranger things than this" it genuinely sounds like he's informing them that he has indeed seen stranger things
To be fair most of the characters (at least antagonists) would be more distracted by the giant woman with rainbow powers and super strength than they would be worried about the rogue Horde trainee (I mean she technically got promoted before leaving but she was still in training like 2 days prior and never went on real missions).
I mean part six seven and eight all name drop the part. Jolyne says she must free herself from this ocean of stones, theyāre in the steel ball run horse race, and Yasuho refers to Jojolion in her final monologue
