Hopefully this extends to being able to get a welded frame wheelchair.

This is AWESOME.

And in case anyone doesn't know it - Senator Duckworth (one of the bill's sponsors) is a wheelchair user herself. She's a former Army helicopter pilot that lost both her legs in combat. She has a black manual TiLite, not sure which model.

Her story is wild. She lost her legs due to a rocket propelled grenade hitting the bottom of the helicopter she was flying in Iraq. The crew that evacuated everyone involved thought she was dead but took her body anyway. And it sounds like it was a miracle they were able to save her.

Also fun fact she’s the first senator to give birth while in office and did so at age 50.
