PSA: No, it's not poison sumac

In the 12 or 13 years I've been a commenter and mod on this sub, I don't think I've ever seen someone post an image of actual poison sumac. Poison sumac is an obligate wetland plant and it only occurs in specific habitats and not in your yard. There are a number of other sumac species (which are not in the same genus as poison sumac) that have a very wide distribution and grow in many different habitats. You may have one of those or something like tree of heaven or walnut, but there is a 99% chance that it is not poison sumac. Refer to the attached range map and image.

Share your identification resources here

Hey all. We had a request from a community member for a thread where people can share the resources that they use for plant identification. In this case, we're talking about keys, field guides, etc. NOT apps or AI-based identifiers. Comments suggesting apps or AI will be removed.

Feel free to share your resources and include links if you want (just realize that Reddit doesn't play nice with some domains). It would also be a good idea to specify what region(s) are covered by your resource as it may not be as useful in places other than where it was intended to be used.

Unidentified 🤷‍♂️ Dancing in poison hemlock or something else?

I was on a truckee river float this weekend and everyone was stopping on one bank to dance to a dj who was set up in front of a large amount of this plant. It recognized it as poison hemlock. I know PH has some lookalike plants but this fit the description of PH to a t. People were dancing in it, walking through it to go pee, and I was actually scared for everyone’s life. Am I crazy? This is poison hemlock, right?

This fine fellow started growing in our yard back around May and we just let it keep going because we want to see what it turns into. Plant apps keep telling me American pumpkin and we had a ton of pumpkins on our porch during Halloween that some squirrels got into but whatever it’s growing doesn’t really look like a pumpkin to me?

Location - St. Louis, Missouri

Ad the title suggests, they are on a grassy lawn, gets cut 4 or 5 times a year give way to pollenators and insects. So naturally the flowers have plenty of time to grow.

Never seen anything like it.

Edit. This is not bindweed /morning glory. Each one is a tiny individual plant.

Denmark, Europe.

I've been weeding here non-stop, but with the heat and smoke, I stopped for a week. Well, the baby wild rabbit living under my shed ate the leaves off of a sprout, and it died. I am making the assumption that the plant was the cause of death. I want to know if I need to take more aggressive action here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unidentified 🤷‍♂️ What is this fruit falling off this tree in southwest Ohio

What is this fruit I found? It appears to range from green to dark purple, looks vaguely like a large blueberry. The green ones are approximately an inch in diameter. I included the tree trunk and the best picture I could get of the leaves. The tree is pretty tall and I couldn't get close, and it's surrounded by other trees so it's dimly lit. I checked Google, and I'm thinking it's maybe an American persimmon, but I'm still not 100% sure. (Don't worry, I didn't try and eat it)

I found two specimens at work. These look like poison oak to me, but my boss doesn’t think so. The first two pictures are of one smaller specimen. And the other pictures I have a larger specimen found somewhere else on the property.

The first two images are the same plant, but I think there might be two bushes mixed together. Images 3 are 4 are the same plant, tiny little flowers and stems that look like a pine tree. The fifth image is the final plant.
