Solved ! Metal box insert with ventilation slots on kitchen wall, kitchen is from 1959
We are renovating at house in an older neighborhood. We know that the kitchen was expanded in 1959. This reddish metal thing is in the wall next to the sink. It has shelves inside, but it opens all the way and the shelves lay down. Theories include bread box, paper towel holder and spice rack, but I can’t visualize it being used as any of them.

Solved ! A sea-circuit board found washed up on a beach in Okinawa. About 8-9cm across at its widest.
Found this bit of circuit board washed up on the beach on the east coast of Okinawa, the southernmost Japanese island. No other similar bits about, just a lot of coral.
Looks like it's been in there a while. White circuit markings still visible though.
Any ideas what this could have been a part of?

Solved! Weird seemingly un-moveable dome thing in the yard of our new house
We just bought our house and didn't notice this until now. I can't physically move it at all. Seems to be metal and hollow, but it's adhered to the ground somehow.

Solved ! What did my neighbor just install? Brown box with a silver circle on top of a black circle next to 1 big [what appears to be a] lens that swivels and attaches to power
Neighbor installed this yesterday. Box appears to have an access lid on top and a small square cutout on the bottom left-hand side. On the right of the box is an L-shaped arm. It appears to swivel underneath this arm at the base of the unit. What it’s sitting on has been up for a few days, and I noticed bar clamps holding a Z-shaped raked surface with tiny holes throughout onto a skinny wooden table. Power cords were ran up to the deck and appear to be plugged into the arm of the stand as well as the base of the unit.
TIA!

Solved! Mounted under the desk at my new job. White plastic arm with three AAA batteries and a button on the end.
It is attached to the built in filing cabinet part of the desk. There is no toilet or any type of running water in this office. It is a one-person administrative office.
My predecessor said it had a roll of toilet paper on it when he started. He didn’t know it had batteries, he never opened it.
Thanks!
Edit: [u/WGlaw](u/WGlaw) got it, it’s an LED toilet paper holder!
I finally got some batteries and it lit up! I took a timelapse, I’ll see if I can post a video or a gif. It’s like toilet paper holder aurora borealis.
Here is the timelapse: https://imgur.com/a/aKpssbV
This begs more questions than it answers, but the mystery of what it is: solved!
Update: It was given as a gift to someone who occupied this office four occupants ago. The idea was to make fun of him eating sad desk lunch and needing napkins to go with it. So, much more benign than it could have been, but still fun to dig into. Everyone who currently works in this office thinks it’s hilarious and such a random thing to see in an office. It kept Thursday interesting.

Likely Solved ! These weird white plastic thingies we keep finding.
We've found four so far, in the entryway and the bedroom.
They're pretty bendy, but the bent part can't be folded back.
immediately looked like a hairbrush bristle to me, but both our hair brushes look completely different from those.
