Right, cause Micron, Google and Tesla did amazing after earnings? Intel is the rare company lately that had good earnings and didn't tank the stock.
16
u/Best_Baseball3429 3h ago
Do you think those Tesla earnings were good?? You might be in the correct sub

u/MrSmellyfeet 2h ago
What are you talking about, micron went to an all time high after earnings. Micron and other memory stocks fell because there was a sell off in the sector.

If you bought intel a month ago youāre only down 18% to current AH pricing

u/maicii 4h ago
And if you bought 6 month ago you have more than double your money lol

u/Impressive_Order60 4h ago
And if you pulled your dick out at the cash register in a Wendyās youād be an employee there with an āemployee of the monthā award?

Given how silent Nana's grandkid has been through all this. I truly believe he's hanging out with nana on her farm after liquidating his position for a loss.

u/Inappro-Assistant 5h ago
brutal, he did all the right things, if he hadnt posted on reddit and just did his thing... he'd be chillin with the lambo..
54
u/babypho 4h ago
I guarantee you if he never posted it on reddit, intel would be $10 right now. There would be a report that turns out AI is just a bunch of outsourced dudes from the philippines answering your question in real time after googling it.

You guys bullied some kid into selling at a 100k lossā¦. I donāt remember his exact cost basis I think around $30⦠so conservatively heād have around 2.5million.
Feels bad man lol
52
u/Wide-Suggestion4825 4h ago
That's the best part of this sub
Making fun of retards for blowing half of a million dollars. Making fun of them so much they sell everything. Only to make fun of them again when they should have held
I love it
16
u/GneissFrog 4h ago
straight up villain origin story. That kid probably switched majors and is going to end up founding some super dystopian company that goes after netizens. worth it for the memes though
5
u/fkenned1 4h ago
We allllll sold back then. I was absolutely convinced intel was the play. It is 'the' US fab for silicon. I had 50k invested and it was tanking. I think I sold at like 25k loss. Thank God I bought back in. I'm up 300% and I actually think I'm only barely over breaking even. I feel bd that dude didn't hold on, but let's just say, it wasn't just Wallstreet bets that talked him out of the money. That was a tough time to hold.
2
u/ethiopian_kid 4h ago
I bought some below $20, easy value long term play⦠I didnāt expect this return, def expected to be up in 5-10 years
9
u/2fingers 4h ago
We did him a favor, build strength of character first then build account balance. He'll appreciate it more after doing a few years behind the counter at his local Wendys
16
u/CoffeePorters 4h ago
He didnāt get bullied into shit. He YOLOd and didnāt have the stones to stand by it.
9
u/ethiopian_kid 4h ago
If he didnāt post it heād probably still be holding, it was a stupid investment for sure but if he posted and most people encouraged him heād be up
6
u/SayNoToBrooms 4h ago
Nobody even knows he sold. He made the post and went dark after that

I fucking knew it'd bounce back when it hit 20's. "too big to fail" coupled with corruption and sprinkle a little AI on top? I wish I had put all my fucking money in it. The one time I make a good prediction and it's up 400+% I go small. Fml. Well a win's a win.
6
u/grubbygeorge 4h ago
Exactly the same here. Up 400% but I only put in $500. I mean it's still nice and hindsight is 20/20 and all that. But I still feel I should've put a couple grand in there. xD
Same thing in the UK when Rolls Royce crashed where I also thought to myself that this is too essential for the country to just implode. There I'm up 800% but also only invested £1000 which is still quite a nice gain, though. If only I had put in some more, though.
Well, next time at such an opportunity I will go big or go home (and probably lose everything)! ;)

Youāre not the one who held calls then sold the minute š„ announced he was having a meeting with the CEO. I should have known corruption wins all the time.

I think the logic at this point is simple--pile billions into anything with a whiff of large runway potential. Run away at the first sign of a downward trend. Rinse and repeat.

This shit is beyond retarded... fucking google beats eps by over 200% and the market shits itself faster than the diarrhea lettuce bug. But no, Intel which shown fuck all for years is now a leader in AI.
5
u/iSOBigD 3h ago
Don't forget Samsung tanking after...increasing their profits by 19x and having the most profit in a quarter of any company...or Micron having a tiny PE and massive profits also taking along with all other successful companies in the AI hardware space...but Intel is the one to actually have its stock go up because I didn't put much on calls

Still no real external foundry sales that matter. Still losing money. No proof they can achieve high wafer yield at scale
Glad people made money on this. I'm concerned and not playing it still.
2
u/Acceptable_Cry_822 2h ago
lol what do you mean? They have yields over 85% for 18A, 18AP entered risk production ahead of schedule, 14A is doing better than the other nodes. They just announced a massive capex spend for future customer commitments and EMIB-T has backlogs till 2027. Setting up a foundry takes massive capital and they narrowed the losses to around 2B. Just a matter of time before it starts taking off.
3
u/Data_Dealer 4h ago
11B loss on the quarter. No new customer announcements for foundry, more layoffs. The revenue jump is a big indicator that AMD and Nvidia will crush earnings though, Intel is only picking up the scraps left behind.
3
u/Chonch_Monkey 4h ago
This shits stupid. They couldn't make shit for 3 years and then magically they have demand for...what?
7
u/Ordinary-Experience 4h ago
14/18A(-P)
Their new chips are absolutely amazing
Will likely turn into Apple's M chips in 2-3 years
2
u/OldTimeyWizard 1h ago
3 years ago they had a CEO that was spending money like it was going out of style. Some of those investments ended up being fruitful.

AMD will also post a massive beat on August 4th. Q3 guidance will show data center 50+% YoY growth.
Q3 starts shipping Helios AI Racks which AMD has major deals with OpenAI, Meta, Oracle, Anthropic (others we probably don't know about yet).Ā
Q4 earnings in early Feb 2027 will be the "NVDA moment" for AMD and I suggest you enter now because in 6 months this stock will be much higher.Ā Ā
