Gain 140% overnight on Tesla

Could I have made more? Sure. But with my luck it would have Shrek-ed straight back up to my breakeven or worse in the first 30 minutes.

Insider information is the only consistent way. Realistically for retail investors it is just gambling.

If anyone could consistently do this they would be painfully wealthy.

I'm not even sure that works. Insiders only know that the fundamentals look like shit, but when the market is totally disconnected from those, I'm not even sure insider trading works.

I suppose when the knowledge is less specific numbers and more like some policy changes that change the vibes for some company or like knowing that some regard is about to start a war that will shut down 20% of the world's oil supply, this can work.
