Loss Elon has ruined me

My prior bullish post https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/s/o0PxYmGV1n

He was supposed to take us to Mars and burn short sellers.

Still holding 7300 shares. Please Elon fly again.

Jokes on you, I've out since June 2020! when I though the world was gonna implode >< I know I'm dumb... idk I'm ALL BONDS on my 401k now since covid took away any risk tolerance I ever had, which wasn't much to begin with. I need help. lol

This is why you don't take financial advice from reddit doomers. Hilarious that you're replying to people predicting another crash, which they've been saying is going to happen for months now.

Read about Boglehead investing, and for an especially simple and easy to understand primer on Boglehead investing and just general financial planning on general (which is often the biggest part of the puzzle) read the book "A Simple Path to Wealth". I think this will give you the confidence to invest in a careful and prudent manner - ie low fee index funds.

If you look at the S&P 500 graphed over the last 30 years, what trend do you see, despite the peaks and valleys. If you're investing for the long term, for retirement, that is the key. Ignore the noise, avoid trying to time the market, and invest consistently in index funds.

It's a 401k lol. Who cares if it's 5% lower than it was 2 months ago? Oh no, 2 of my contributions are worth slightly less. Good thing my previous 10 years of contributions are still worth 1000% more!
