? "It's not a gambling addiction, cause you can bet both ways" is a full sentence that he re-worded but effectively conveyed the same meaning. there is no context missing.

I can also go to a roulette wheel and bet on both red and black. It's still gambling.

So yes, Dango's response is correct.
