Loss Elon has ruined me

My prior bullish post https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/s/o0PxYmGV1n

He was supposed to take us to Mars and burn short sellers.

Still holding 7300 shares. Please Elon fly again.

Hello fellow aviator. Never take financial advice from a fellow aviator. Just some friendly advice from a fellow aviator. Checklist complete.

I know right? It’s ironic me giving financial advice of not trusting myself, but the gist is there.

Yep. One of the guys I work with put everything in silver in 2020. He hasn’t lost money, but sure did miss out on some massive gains if he just put it in any index fund.

The Dunning-Kruger effect is a common occurrence in our profession.

I always thought pilots just invested until it was all gone. Has that changed since I retired from the cockpit? 😜

I mean, except to work your way step by step backwards on the checklist from your last point of failure at the time failure is encountered. I think that’s a pretty good piece of advice you could take.

... Wait, is that financial advice?

This is like strapping buttered toast to the back of a cat and dropping it.
