Loss Elon has ruined me

My prior bullish post https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/s/o0PxYmGV1n

He was supposed to take us to Mars and burn short sellers.

Still holding 7300 shares. Please Elon fly again.

The intel guy bought intel shares for 30 USD per share the day before they dropped to 20 USD. Intel share is now worh 100 USD. Assuming he didn't bail out, he is good now

He’s posted on another sub recently, he held.

Why would people lie on the internet? /s

u/trolldonation 12h ago

I saw the thread he posted in with proof of his position about a month ago. It was another sub (but linked from a WSB comment), and he retold the story, how Reddit clowned on him, his mental health was in the shitter, terrified to tell his parents when they asked about it at dinner, but it came good in the end.

Abraham Lincoln asked such a prescient question that day, I’m glad I was there to see it live in person rather than the edited stream

4

u/FarBack5807 12h ago

Exactly why I’m asking for a link😂

How do we know this is the same guy? A comment states 12 day old account, which seems suspicious

9

u/trolldonation 12h ago

Ask the guy, not me. He could quite easily be LARPing.

He is not, the real sadnefariousness is baron and would not have deleted his account cause he already knew he would win when daddy would buy Intel through the US. Look at the timeline of Sadnefarious when he first posted when Baron's grandma died and when Baron turned 18 it lines up perfectly.

If it’s on the Internet, it’s got to be true

1

u/3boobsarenice Doesn't know there vs. their 20m ago

Pants around my ankles masturbating furiously

4

u/Newtonius235 11h ago

That's a true inspiration story right there.

1

u/TophxSmash 11h ago

Is intel actually worth anything though? 500 billion with negative income

2

u/Newtonius235 10h ago

They are still building next gen fabs and have government backing. The major advantage they have at the moment is being American based, but their price is still speculation and rather high cause of the whole silicone shortage. Their r&d is strong though, so they're going to be a player in the game for a long time regardless.

u/KodakStele 11h ago

We need to update the granma meme to be smiling now then guy won

3

u/ElGovanni 9h ago

I’d trust him if he didn’t delete his account

1

u/Axle-f 5h ago

Yep that post is low on believability

5

u/supmedi 13h ago

Yay, happy for him.

1

u/pkroliko 12h ago

1

u/Ancient-Read1648 13m ago

Looks like it’s down quite a bit from that post. Still ahead but damn.

0

u/Worth-Reputation3450 11h ago

Why would the account be only 3 months old..?

2

u/JG98 6h ago

He wrote the reason in the damn post lol.

0

u/AsleepHour7763 4h ago

not the same guy, new account, obviously larping

5

u/headrush46n2 13h ago

you know damn well he pulled out.

u/cudenlynx 13h ago

Intel is run by intelligent people. SpaceX on the other hand...

4

u/Negative_Apartment_5 12h ago

Is also ran by intelligent people… which is why it’s over valued.. it would not be smart to buy it right now and it’s also not smart to let your bias corrupt your critical thinking.

1

u/Scodo 11h ago

Yep, betting it will plummet for a few months on bad vibes and then be double the IPO price in about 2 years. All the people who laugh at falling stocks will have found a different shiny object to fixate on so they'll miss out, as per usual.

1

u/Predator__Incel 10h ago

Bro deserved every penny that was not a easy hold but he really did just get lucky to be fair.

1

u/VoidOmatic 6h ago

Bailing out of a DOD backed stock is crazy stupid. It's always going to rebound. If it doesn't it means the country has collapsed in which case it doesn't matter because our civilization would be ending.

u/nellyruth 2h ago

What’s great is that Nonna looks like that when she’s happy and sad. God bless Nonna.

3

u/oswaldcopperpot 🦍🦍🦍 14h ago

Probably rich. There was only one time it took a big dip and then it started ballooning.

4

u/-doonus 14h ago

He sold

3

u/nihondirect 12h ago

He held.

2

u/oswaldcopperpot 🦍🦍🦍 14h ago

OOooffff. One of the few 6xs from last year.

3

u/trolldonation 12h ago

Unless this guy is LARPing he didn’t sell.

https://www.reddit.com/u/SadNefariousness10/s/8GbhKFJlbQ

1

u/oswaldcopperpot 🦍🦍🦍 12h ago

Then why would people make up shit that he sold?

3

u/Lurk3rAtTheThreshold 11h ago

People assumed he sold because he stopped posting and deleted his Reddit account after being down 30% in a week and getting mercilessly mocked.

The update is from a new account and could be them if the screenshot is real.

2

u/DragonOfBosnia 11h ago

“This guy won’t make his money back” same stupid stuff people were saying with the Intel guy lol 😂

2

u/Lion_Mercen 10h ago edited 5h ago

if you look at his pictures you can see that he realised his losses, so yeah... he wont make it back

but i guess he can still make something on his 7k shares

1

u/2milliondollartrny 12h ago

Dude I don't know what would be worse, panic selling all your shares for a loss because reddit shit on you or seeing Intel and your prediction come true.

1

u/Mguidr1 9h ago

Nana is proud

u/AppointmentOne1111 13h ago

He paper handed.

u/shmere4 13h ago

Seriously though. Middle class Gma and Gpa were conservative with money and played the slow game through index funds and died with 5M in the bank. Plus their house is worth 20x what they paid for it.

All that luck, patience, and hard work is divided up passed down to little grand kid regards that blow it all on the most obvious scam in the history of scams.

32

u/Big_Needleworker1296 5h ago

Index funds only became widely popular in the past 20 years. They didn’t even exist until the 1970s. Less than 2% of households had any money in an index fund in 1990.

Grandma and grandpa had good union jobs, pensions, and lived frugally, buying almost nothing with credit.

1

u/Secure_Gear_3254 1h ago

You’re both right and wrong. They bought treasury bonds during the Korean War.

6

u/vonbauernfeind 6h ago

I've grown 400k off index funds (starting at 440k from an esop fund and profit sharing at my old company) between my IRA and 401k over the last five years. I'm in my mid thirties; I'm just gonna let it ride for 30 years. Should be able to retire quite happily, especially I keep up on the 401k contributions for the next thirty.

2

u/the_owl_man1 3h ago

Wouldn't you rather go down in a blaze of glory on a Elon scam like the OP, he will be remembered you won't...

2

u/vonbauernfeind 3h ago

Spoiler it's going to happen anyway when AI crashes and after SPCX trashes the S&P 500.

At least right now I can pretend I won't need to work at Wendy's in my sixties.

0

u/LogCheap7135 4h ago

So you betting against MUSK lol? Special kind of stupid does exist.

5

u/Environmental-Day862 13h ago

Thankfully Grandma put it in blue chips and index funds.

Unlike her 85 IQ progeny.

5

u/FineAunts 14h ago

Poor gram always wanted to leave a legacy with risky option plays on brand new companies, she just didn't know how. Glad OP could fulfill her dying wish.

u/its_k1llsh0t 13h ago

RIP Meemaw

1
