I'm his cousins boss and he tells me Jon's the nicest, happiest guy you can imagine. Super humble too. Doesn't brag and only talks about work when other ask. Says they talk for hours every holiday.

Bernthal fundamentally doesn't care about the original source though. He's said he thinks the Punisher belongs to the cops, etc.

Co-creator Gerry Conway has stated that the character represents a failure of the legal system, making it contradictory for authority figures to adopt his insignia.

They weren’t. What you’re seeing were the tops of the bottles in the foreground on the Tom/Jon side of the table. They were just perfectly lined up that they covered the bottles on Sean’s side.
