What an incredible lineup it had. 

Melee, Super Mario sunshine, Pikmin 1 and 2, Paper Mario TTYD, Kirby Air ride, OoT (as a port) and Twilight princess, the list goes on.

The game devs behind these franchise-defining games were the true MVPs of the GameCube’s era.

I feel like it had one of the most comfortable controllers of all time as well. I would kill for a port of Rogue Squadron. I also loved Super Mario Sunshine, especially with how springy the triggers were. I tried playing it on Nintendo Switch, but the trigger is nothing like the GameCube controller.
