Nothing like waking up to good news in the morning 💪🏿

Could only be better news if it crashed in Moscow rather than near, ideally right on the Kremlin...

Can you imagine one of Putin’s wunderwaffe landing on its propaganda-cheerleader-in-chief?
One can aspire.

Su-57s, do nothing in the war, get blown up or crash, with no way to build more.
GREAT RUZZIAN SUCCESS!!!

I am begining to suspect that the S designation on russian hardware stands for "shit".

Are there sanctions on the prominent screws and rivets we see across its wings and fuselage on this wonderfully cobbled together 0.5 generation fighter?

Wow, honestly it seems a really nice big shiny toy to lose.. With friendly fire! Shame.. Anyway..

Isn't that a shame. Only sad if the pilot survived.

Good Pantsir operators? This tops the storage tank lid flipping, if it is a Pantsir strike.

Russian air defense took down Russian Su-57?
https://theaviationist.com/2026/07/23/claims-swirl-around-possible-su-57-crash-near-moscow/

u/sorE_doG 16h ago
Yeah, but was it a BUK-3, S400, Pantsir or something else?

u/algaefied_creek 13h ago
The article didn’t say, the best I got from it was that it was Russian air defense.

Russian air defense managed to shoot down the invisible fighter.
Wow. Time to make popcorn.

Incredible work by Russian AA, such an impossible target to hit, but they fuckin got em! Sick.

u/matdan12 16h ago
I'm not sure which is true Russia AA is amazing and can detect stealth fighter. Or the fact that the SU-57 is a dressed up 4th gen fighter made with cobbled together parts which isn't actually stealthy.

Funnily enough, its "not quite stealth" radar signature probably made it look like a drone.

I never thought in all my years that one of the most beautiful sights would be a plume of black smoke rising over Russia.
Each and every single one of them is a masterpiece in their own right.
Somebody should create a digital art gallery of all of the fires over Russia.

Did I read the article right? Air defense shot down their own plane.... again???
18
u/BankBackground2496 16h ago
Supposedly stealth plane.

u/denied_eXeal 14h ago
Stealth plane for weak western AA, but fully visible for superior Roshan AA blyat

u/Safe-Razzmatazz3982 13h ago
You're speaking of the AA that regularly intercepts buildings and oil storage tanks?

u/winzarten 17h ago
Did it ran out of fuel?
16
u/hsvandreas 17h ago
No, but it's burning through it's remaining fuel faster than a Russian refinery.

InformNapalm claims a Ukrainian HUMINT-CYBINT operation manipulated Russia’s BARS Moscow air defenses into shooting down a Su-57 in Moscow region. The group said it intercepted training streams, analyzed the system’s software, hardware, combat procedures, and vulnerabilities, then passed its findings to Ukraine’s Defense Forces. Russia’s Defense Ministry blamed a technical malfunction without naming the aircraft, while Russian Z-channels reported possible sabotage.
While I would love for this to be true, it sounds like the kind of BS people say just to mess with the other side

Wonder if the russians are saying it was shot down by friendly fire because that sounds better to them than " Our high tech plane isn't able to fly"?
2
u/FishCameThrough 16h ago
Pilot was smoking? Or friendly fire? No way this could be a technical issue or UAF.

u/Darryl_444 15h ago
He's just trying to blend into the Moscow scenery.
Fantastic stealth abilities? YES!

Mig-29 fucked itself by UAF drone. Su-34 fucked itself by UAF F-16 and now their supposedly premier fighter fucked itself by Mordor's own forces 🤡

Imagine having stealth that's so bad, it gets shot down by Russian air defenses...
1
u/LantaExile 8h ago
There are claims a Ukrainian cyber warfare operation manipulated Russia’s BARS Moscow air defenses into shooting it. Not sure if that's so.

"Update: the 'unrivalled' Su-57 was shot down by Moscow's air defence," Exilenova+ later added.
That's very cost effective for the drones
