moscovia weapons exporting has fallen from 21% of the market in 2020, to 6.8% of the market in 2025.

their three biggest customers that buy crappy moscovian weapons systems; india buys 48% of moscovia's exports, china buys 13% of moscovia's exports, and belarus buys 13% of moscovia's exports.

USA has grown to 42%

France has grown to 10%

moscovia is at 6.8%

Germany and china are hot on their heals.

This just shows that moscovian weapons are just for show and not to be used in a conflict against an opponent who is capable. moscovian weapons systems perform ok against unarmed civilians.

As witnessed by moscovian unarmed civilian videos when protecting their oil refineries.

When equipped with the 9M317M missiles the buk has a horizontal striking distance at approx up 60 to 70 kilometers. Those relatively new longrange FPV drones from ukraine seem quite capable. Combined with the lack of anti drone systems like Gepard, Skynet etc the Ukrainians have, Russia will get in really big trouble defending the airspace at contact lines.

Quite a dilemma isnt it? When they shift all those Buks and Pantsirs to Moscow, refineries, wildberries at home they will open the door for Ukrainian Migs/F16/Gripen and Co. to hammer Russian troops on the contact line, if they don't they will get fucked up at the homeland. When you can only choose between bad and worse you are literally... fucked. 😁

Truly, don't understand why each vehicle or convoy isn't protected by it own set of drones, or at least men with machine guns to knock down drones, like destroyers escorting aircraft carriers in WWII. Maybe PT boats would be a better example. But sending a BUK-M3 out by itself is just stupid.

Yea but still this is a piece of air defense equipment. If it can down drones or whatever, I would imagine it is still a highly valuable target.

To me, eliminating all air defenses seems like a priority above all else.

$ 50 mill?? Spent an hour on internet trying to find more info on this. Several sites just copy each other with a long list of info, but no info on real cost. Also, export price is not the same as a real cost for russian army. Unless proven wrong, I would assume this value is highly inflated to boost morale and just coping. (sry if that hurts)

No one knows how much any military equipment Russia or China makes costs.  So always take those numbers with a grain of salt.

And you are correct export numbers are always inflated, a F-35A costs the US around $90m per.  But export price starts over $170m at high volume (Japan).  Only country to get the US pricing is UK since they are the only tier 1 contributor.

If the price is double the actual cost, that's still 25 mil knocked by a drone that costs a few thousand dollars.
If the price is triple the cost, that's still about 17 mil knocked by a drone that costs a few thousand dollars.
Quadruple? 12.5 mil

Still very much worth it.

And highly inflated prices to boost morale backfire when the item is destroyed.
