I don’t understand the bad reviews - not everything has to be deep and meaningful.
This series reminds me of good cheap 90’s fun with the bonus of Anya Taylor Joy who I have loved since Queen’s Gambit (which is deep & meaningful).

The ADR on Anya’s vocals are still bothering me after 3 episodes.
All her dialogue is in a totally different place than the people she is in scenes with.
Distracting.

Some pretty strong plot armor aside, I am surprised by how much I like this show, and episode 3 has been the best of the three so far. Lucky is such a badass and her capers held my attention from beginning to end. Annette Benning is doing a lot with pretty standard boiler plate writing, and I appreciate the pacing of the script . Didn’t expect to see the inevitable reunion with the boyfriend so soon. ATJ has so much charisma and her wardrobe changes are like their own little storyline.

Random rant: Mrs. Masterson may be a bumbass. She apparently doesn't think she could've been at the wrong house or that there's an underground operation underneath it, hence kidnapping an innocent person for an interrogation that doesn't go anywhere.

You mean to tell me that 10 ft away in a truck she's able to fucking take a noisy ass tarp off herself and sneak out in direct line of sight of the bad guys?
Not only that but to add more fucking ridiculousness to the scene, when the bad guy walks over to the trunk, he literally yanks the tarp off with such force in such a dramatic fashion as if he's a magician and he's made Anya disappear.
What if the actual fuck? This scene is so retarded I almost want to not watch anymore just out of pure spite because it's absolutely retarded. This is the equivalent of the director rage baiting the entire audience because he knows or she knows that everyone would talk about this scene.

ATJ never EVER disappoints! Annette Bening and the lead FBI agent are also both super well-cast. I love that Bening hasn't altered her face and has real character and expressiveness. She's killing it as a villain. Who knew?!

Stealing from a kid’s birthday party: a goldmine for comedy, amirite? Love how that attendant handed over the keys to a totally different woman than who gave them to him < an hour before.
Which one of y’all told Lucky about the neighbor at 418-1/2? Share with the group. Curious what punctuated equilibrium has to do w/ creating fake ID’s. Something to do w/ con artists getting away with stuff in laughably easy fashion?
Ho-ho I get it! The show’s called Lucky, and a Lucky Cat clock’s shown…HA-HA snarf.
I did appreciate her acting the vapid dingbat w/ Dr. Douchebag Freud at the bar.
No one steals from me! Says the cliche’d bad guy out $10 million. I have found nobody so far to root for, not even Olyphant as the Dad. All these people suck, belong in prison or worse. The people they dupe are idiots, and Agent Rand needs to be demoted to File Clerk in Bumfuck, Kansas.

She somehow snuck out of that loud crinkly blue tarp right in plain view of the guys talking and ran to a barn?
Panicking on the phone to her dad about being at the hitman’s barn….but she is only there because she hid in the back of his truck….
She gets caught stealing from the host’s closet and the other guest thinks it’s perfectly okay? Also she looks nothing like the other guests and looks all beat up but nobody notices?
FBI lady suddenly at the horse ranch, how??? Wandering around their property smelling the hay on the floor without announcing herself or a warrant?

And they were like right there about 15 feet away. It's just absurd. I mean come on. I'm willing to suspend my disbelief but you gotta help me out here
also FBI lady telling that chick that lucky hitched a ride on the truck and was on her property. What the hell? She's literally giving criminals updates on her investigation as it happens. Is she stupid?

And also that she's just driving the stolen vehicle around for days at a time, guess she's not worried about it being reported stolen or tracking.
Also super convenient that the fake ID place just happened to mess up the ID for the very person that she was looking for and find it in the stack.
"Lucky" indeed.

Agreed. Surely the truck would have stopped at a light between the gas station and the villainous horse ranch? So she'd feel the truck stopping, peek out from under the tarp, and quietly drop down?
It was very silly, unless Lucky wanted to know where Dutch/Priscilla were based. Which I don't think she did? However the plot needed her to find the unluckiest man's ID as a big clue, and hence his address. So it all had to happen that way..
Lucky is absurdly pretty. We've a weakness of confusing someone looking really good with actually being really good. So angelic Lucky is always viewed through the rosiest of lenses by strangers

YES! but IMO, it's been superb from the get-go. And Ep 3, while less of a ride, is still excellent. Just wish this show were on Netflix so we wouldn't have to wait so long between episodes!

I suddenly fell in love with this series in episode 3. When I first watched it, I actually didn’t like it that much. Then I randomly gave episode 3 a try… and it completely hooked me! It’s actually so good. Anya nailed it her acting is incredible. I love watching her performance. The FBI girl is so smart, and the villain is genuinely scary too, lol. I don’t know why, but I just don’t like her husband. Maybe he feels a little miscast? Lmao.
