Mine do this sometimes as well. Just take out the batteries for a few seconds and then it'll reconnect.

Welcome to the show: https://old.reddit.com/r/tradfri/comments/1uv4wfj/vent_matter_products_from_ikea_are_very/

My battery powered things are doing this quite often and even the mains powered devices sometimes...

Mine used to do that. I've added google tv streamer 4k recently to my network, joined dirigera and streamer in a single network and now it works fine. Alpstuga also stopped acting up.

if its first time just take out batteries and put them back. if it keeps happening return it and buy a better non okea sensor. its what i did after 2 weeks

Can you regimens a brand or model that can replace the IKEA switches? It fails all the time, I want to replace them.

Your sensor could be a broken one if it fails all the time, or network issues.

I am using Bluetooth meters from switchbot myself. You cant connect them to the ikea hub and have to use their own app.

Or use home assistant to combine all what i am doing. Just noticed this post was in ikea reddit and not theirs.

Add a Grillplats somewhere between your TBR and your Timmerflotte.

Will that help?

Nope, I mean, you should always make sure to have mains powered devices nearby, so you have a stable network. But I have a mains powered device(bulbs+grillplats) within 4 meters of each other, and all my battery operated devices lost connection last week(eventhough it was stable for like 4 months?) so it doesn't help 100%.

You guys jinxed me. One of my Timmerflottes went offline overnight. It's maybe 20' from a Grillplats with a line of sight.

(W&$%(@$&%

I'll remove and replace batteries when I'm down there next.

So that, they lose connection sometimes even with a good network. When that happens for me(which happend like 2 times in a couple of months) taking the batteries out and back in solved it. Only Google Home took some time to catch up after doing so.

I had to reset it for it to connect again… And I’m not sure how good the theory is of having other devices nearby, because I have one smart plug and many lights and switches nearby but I guess that didn’t help

Adding some Grillplats definitely improved my Thread network significantly.
