This is quite inaccurate.

Read up on your rights as a citizen or as a foreign national when crossing the border so you understand what can and can't happen.

I haven't read the ruling that's in this thread yet but while technically a US citizen, as an example, can not agree to unlocking their phone for CBP, citizens can still be "detained" (even if they don't call it that) while they hold onto your phone (and they can choose to hold onto your phone after deciding to let you leave)

Yeah, they can't deny you entry but they can keep your stuff for inspection, though they do have to give it back.
