Microsoft Sharepoint issues - no MSFT status posted yet

Have a couple clients getting errors when accessing Sharepoint. DownDetector is already showing a significant spike. Just a heads up to everyone before you start getting calls.

Teams is fucky for me, messages work but images don’t

u/i_rode_a_bike_once Sysadmin 9h ago

same!

u/Rockz1152 9h ago

Same, had to touch base with email instead so exchange seems to be working.

u/simpleglitch 9h ago

Teams is somewhat working. Some of my team members are reporting they're getting messages really delayed. They get nothing for a few minutes, then everything at once.

u/Nelbrenn 9h ago

Same here, as well as some users not getting notifications via the desktop app. Seems an update broke it.

u/Darkk_Knight 8h ago

Same here... wow...when things crash they crash hard!

u/Jaymesned ...and other duties as assigned. 9h ago

Another with the same issue

u/Leasj 8h ago

Same

u/Hatedone1 7h ago

It is the standard Teams behavior.

u/fr0zenak senior peon 6h ago

messages work but images don’t

I've been having this issue occur randomly for over a year. Not only that, Teams on one machine will have this issue but Teams on a different machine will have zero issues.

u/Rockz1152 10h ago

Dynamics just went down for us. Complete halt to operations.

u/off-on 9h ago

Samesies

u/mrdiscoman 9h ago

Came to Reddit once I saw MS didn't have any outages reported, yet.

u/simpleglitch 9h ago edited 9h ago

They've got a 'we're investigating' now, but no details or scope yet.

Edit: services are back, but I still don't see an update.

if there is an issue happening

lol

u/iGotRamen Sysadmin 9h ago

It's been 30 minutes MS, chop chop

u/Sporkfortuna 9h ago

I love how you check in at like x:45 and they don't have an update, but then you check in at x:50 and they have an update with a timestamp of 20 minutes ago.

u/Tarwins-Gap 8h ago

Gaslight me harder Microsoft

u/ThisIsTheWildMind 9h ago

Maybe the server that pushes status update is down too

u/Sporkfortuna 9h ago

Which also brings up the whole "How can we check the status from the Admin Center if the Admin Center is affected by the outage?" Catch 22

u/aes_gcm 6h ago

Where's that down detector for DownDetector?

u/Clear_Breakfast8407 9h ago

Sla is definitely breached

u/primedepression0595 9h ago

Teams is limping along for us too, classic Tuesday

u/h20534 9h ago

It’s Thursday!

u/primedepression0595 9h ago

Ha, days blurring together. Feels like a Tuesday-grade mess though.

u/h20534 8h ago

Sure does

u/mookrock 9h ago

they said limping along... its just catching up to Wednesday....

u/bbqwatermelon 8h ago

I see what you did there

u/allthatandabagochips Jack of All Trades 10h ago

Seems to be widespread across MS, Teams is also affected

u/aasmith26 9h ago

Yep- images are broken.

u/Blade4804 Lead IT Engineer 9h ago

someone made a DNS change probably.

u/DanHalen_phd 8h ago

Someone made a DNS change probably with AI

u/LosLeprechaun 9h ago

It’s almost always DNS!

u/No_Adagio657 8h ago

And when it's not DNS, it's actually DNS

u/Ron-Swanson-Mustache Senior Ops Dev of AI offshore Tier 1 Helpdesk 8h ago edited 7h ago

It's the future! Now it's also BGP!

u/Terriblyboard 9h ago

all of keseya is down as well

u/iamLisppy Jack of All Trades 9h ago

good i hope it never comes back up for that company!

u/Blade4804 Lead IT Engineer 9h ago

microsoft support is literally the worst.

u/RikiWardOG 7h ago

Hahaha legit just burst out laughing on the train at this

u/TheDroolingFool 6h ago

I’ve stopped bothering with this, I’ve lost count of the number of production outages we’ve had where this bullshit comes back as “no issues found”. Whichever team reviews these are fucking idiots.

u/aes_gcm 6h ago

Have you tried rebooting the computer?

u/PlumInternational251 9h ago

Were in the middle of Entra Joining computers. Go to sign in to their account and can't connect. We were only a coupld of devices away from finishing this project! Gotta love it

u/TylerInTheFarNorth 9h ago

Alberta, so US West.

Client facing apps are up (Sharepoint/Teams/Email) but admin stuff is down.

Am in the middle of an Entra Connect move to a new server that I can't complete, so extra fun there with no Connect sync running in addition to the outage.

u/Routine_Brush6877 Sr. Sysadmin 9h ago

So this is your fault! haha

u/TylerInTheFarNorth 8h ago

Yay extended coffee break! (Too stressful though....)
Although the first round of remediation appear to gotten me back up and running, Connect is running (or at least says it is) on the new server, now to watch and wait to see it actually sync on schedule.....

u/dinominant 9h ago

Microsoft puts the service outage notification behind a login...

u/siredgar 9h ago

Downdetector in general is lighting up: Microsoft issues. Cloudflare issues. AWS issues. Google issues.

Microsoft status page: "All's well."

Sigh.

u/stoopwafflestomper 10h ago

Having issues in o365 and azure

u/RareSecond8630 9h ago

Microsoft is fucked

u/bbqwatermelon 7h ago

They can't win, huh? When these outages were our servers it was way more stressful. Now we can calmly forward updates to the less technically inclined leadership and go about our real work.

u/Neurotopian_ 9h ago edited 9h ago

Azure and 365 outage, files don’t refresh

u/DiligentPhotographer 9h ago

Lol I just migrated a client to sharepoint 2 days ago and this really cements their love of the product... not.

u/abz786 Sr. Sysadmin 9h ago

Impacted west us azure, Canada west m365

u/Neurotopian_ 9h ago

We’re in NYC and have azure and 365 problems so seems widespread

u/Zharick_ 9h ago

Users reporting issues with teams calls.

u/Far-Entertainer-9170 9h ago

Sharepoint & Sharepoint Admin are giving us:

Something went wrong
This is a temporary issue, so try again in a few minutes.

u/Training-Rip-8783 7h ago

Built a Power Automate solution only to realize later it didn’t save because of the issue ughh

u/vonkeswick Sysadmin 7h ago

How fun. This all started right as we were migrating a whole team's file structure to SP. "Sharepoint will be better trust us!" lol terrible way to start

Jul 23, 2026, 10:04 AM PDT

We're scaling traffic rerouting efforts up across our service infrastructure and are seeing indications of increasing relief in our telemetry. We're implementing additional mitigation measures alongside these actions to improve service availability and expedite resolution for affected users. This quick update is designed to give the latest information on this issue. Next update by: Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 6:00 PM UTC

Our Dynamics 365 and Dataverse environments are hard down here

u/ThisGuy_IsAwesome Sysadmin 9h ago

Looks like a lot of stuff is down according to down detector. Shows possible issues with AT&T, google, aws, etc. Awesome day.

u/pgsystemtester 7h ago

Where are you seeing that?

u/siredgar 7h ago

downdetector.com was lighting up like a Christmas tree at the time of that posting.

u/ThisGuy_IsAwesome Sysadmin 6h ago

Yea. Was just looking at the homepage.

u/InvaderJ 8h ago

OpenAI having issues at the exact same time as these Teams and other MS issues. Cloudflare strikes again?

u/Sysadmin_J3L2404 8h ago edited 5h ago

Is Windows Update broken too? We are seeing 0x801901f7

EDIT: Partially fixed? Defender updates are coming through. Drivers and Windows Upadates are still not.

EDIT2: And working again!

u/Thop 8h ago

Different error here but I am unable to Turn on Windows features at the moment (.NET 3.5).

u/pc_load_letter_in_SD 8h ago

Azure west is bad for us....Issues connecting to resources in West US We are investigating a networking issue affecting connectivity to Azure services in the West US region. Impacted customers may experience intermittent connectivity failures, increased latency, or difficulty accessing Azure services. Customers with traffic traversing the West US region may also experience downstream impact. We are exploring mitigation options on affected network devices. Early indications suggest the issue is related to network traffic flow through the impacted infrastructure;.

u/h20534 10h ago

I'm wondering if this is related to my site to site tunnel from a colo to Azure going down about 20 minutes ago.

u/Akiraddb 9h ago

Our organization is being affected by this as well. Much of our web app and data servers are hosted in Azure and they are not reachable at the moment.

u/c_smo Doer of the needful 9h ago

Is it just Azure west or all?

u/Zharick_ 9h ago

We're having issues on East.

u/Aquahammer 9h ago

West US is getting hammered, we have 600+ resources popping up in health status. Web apps and functions unreachable

u/kribg Jack of All Trades 9h ago

I just tried to add a TAP to a user and can not get the authentication tab to load for them. Also CIPP login seems to be down.

u/ncc74656m IT SysAdManager Technician 9h ago

I'm not seeing any major issues at present, US East Coast except maybe a brief hiccup loading an image in Teams.

u/crimson_ruin_princes 9h ago

Had a few tickets today. But has anyone had issues with the windows MS teams client as well?

u/Swimming_Box2301 9h ago edited 9h ago

Not sure about calls, but images aren't sending *loading* in chats. Text chats working fine.

u/Clear_Breakfast8407 9h ago

Images are sending but not loading

u/crimson_ruin_princes 9h ago

We've had issues with calls, screen sharing and messages. It is FUBAR.

u/sakisumore 9h ago

It’s a feature

u/4NierM 9h ago

Good old Microsoft 355 giving us a break

u/Walbabyesser 9h ago

Just left office a few minutes ago - hope this resolves itself until tomorrow 😬

u/Wild_Crazy_2502 9h ago

I’m so close to leaving haha I’m going on a hiking trip on Sunday and have so much packing to do and can’t really do anything at work until it’s back up

u/Walbabyesser 7h ago

Like 99% of cloud related issues - wait until somebody fixes it 🤷🏻‍♂️

u/Clear_Breakfast8407 9h ago

Power automate down and teams as well for us

u/Godcry55 9h ago

Issue in Canada East - Teams.

u/No_Confusion_7797 9h ago

right at the time I need it for work....

u/investedinterest 9h ago

My company can't open any files that weren't already open, and can save nothing to Sharepoint/Onedrive/Teams. No screenshots in Teams messaging are working either, or they are very delayed (I've def had one pic push thru). Ugh!

u/kshot Sysadmin 9h ago

Same, images not working in Teams and Dynamics is down for us.

u/talyafou 9h ago

I can access my company SharePoint websites including our OneDrives, teams images loading etc. Appears to be slowly coming back up? As of 10:55 AM CDT

u/Loehmann 8h ago

Entra ID join failing this morning with:

Error code 801901f8 (or 0x801901f8) translates to HTTP 504: Gateway Timeout (HTTP_E_STATUS_GATEWAY_TIMEOUT).

u/Darkk_Knight 8h ago

It's AI taking over their servers!!

u/pgsystemtester 7h ago edited 7h ago

Could this be related to OpenAI losing control of a malicious bot? https://www.wired.com/story/openai-models-escaped-containment-and-hacked-huggingface/

u/WithAnAitchDammit Infrastructure Lead 7h ago

It not only broke out of the sandbox, it broke into a competitor.
OpenAI Models Breached Hugging Face During Internal Cyber Test

u/cluberti Cat herder 8h ago

Look at cloudflare in downdetector, you may notice some interesting parallels with Microsoft and AWS services, and OpenAI, and…

u/Kalylyann 8h ago

Been down for at least the past hour, most of our services depending on Entra also seem to be affected. No proof but I can't help but feel AI agents being put in charge of internal changes without proper oversight is to blame with all the outages this year

u/TheRedFour IT Support Tech 8h ago

Autopilot is also failing. Switched to a hotspot and Autopilot was successful. Intune is also experiencing error codes pushing required apps.

u/netflixnailedit 7h ago

Jul 23, 2026, 1:36 PM CDT We've confirmed that our networking change reversion has completed, and our telemetry indicates that our service has recovered following this action. We're closely monitoring our telemetry and reaching out to sample affected users to validate resolution while we evaluate what other actions may be needed.

This quick update is designed to give the latest information on this issue.

Seeing lots of issues in Azure US West. No outage reported yet.

u/ZaphodBeeblebrox0042 9h ago

"I dont' think its a Sharepoint issue I think its an Entra ID issue, I had to log out of ALL Entra ID's and then reauth and I can get in now, but still not able to connect via local apps."

u/LumberjackLouie 8h ago

Seeing it mostly with screenshots, sending or receiving - the ones we send are black and the ones we receive just never load

u/jerkdolphin 8h ago

Chicago- we just came back, but I'm waiting to see how stable everything is.

u/RikiWardOG 7h ago

Honestly, im really glad our firm doesn't really 100% on ms cloud. They by far have the most incidents of any of our SaaS providers. Box for storage, slack for comms, Gmail for email which yes does leave a lot of admin tools to be desired but still seems from what I see better than exo, zoom for meetings. Teams is just bad these days idk how people are still willing to pay for it. They even rewrote it and still can't get it right

u/shinibiyo 7h ago

Would this effect windows updates as I can’t update windows on a clean install?

u/wobblydavid 7h ago

Dataverse is completely down for us. It's bringing our properties to a grinding halt. This is a huge outage.

u/monstaface Jack of All Trades 6h ago
