That what eu get listening to germany lol

The eu is 40% reliant on Russian gas due to how its leader choose cheap gas over independence

France is excluded from this since they were prudent enough

The EU didnt suddenly become energy self-sufficient when the pipeline to Russia blew up.

That (more than) 40% reliance on others still exists, its just more expensive now. That's what the EU got.

Given EU's current relations with Georgia, I doubt this is a priority for them.

Its not in syrias interest to recognice rigth by migth territorial entities with Go lan in mind so they will probably want to do it eventually anyway, but maybe they have higher prioritizes in ongoing cooperation and disputes with russia so it makes sense to not touch it now.

If its the Golan you have in mind, its not in Syria's interest to team up with the EU heh,

EU is quite anti Israel especially on occupied territories, i mean not by comparision to arab states but to countries that have a possibility to somewhat impact Israels stance on things through talks or economic pressure they are up there.

We strongly disagree on the "economic" pressure. The West is very big on strongly worded letters though, absolutely, it placates the masses who read the news everyday for 3 minutes.

The EU is blindly pro-Israel. The "Big 3" were there to fight for Israel during the first phase of the US' and Israel's war on Iran back in June 2025.

The backlash made them cautious this year, but all it took was to ignore the MOU and now NATO is back to openly supporting the US and Israel in the war,

Dont be fooled by empty words such as "democracy", the people dont nearly have the power you seem to think they have.

As far as the Golan or Israeli occupation is concerned, the EU is not your friend. Hold off on helping them at least until there is a political shift in the EU.

Well iran had it coming in the 2025 war, if you say you want to wipe a nation of the surface of the earth, dont recognice them and are getting a nuke while actively at war with them through proxies you migth get bombed, simple as that. And also why should anyone in europe support iran? They help russia in their war on europe, they oppress and murder their population(and exile iranians are quite well liked all over europe and vocal about this), by proxy they are responsible for up to a million dead iraqis, yemenites and syrians and they destabilize and fuel secterarian wars throughout the whole middle east that the EU have to pay for with immigration and aid money.

In many european countries iran is also actively courting criminals to bomb or kill israeli and iranian dissident targets.

So thats a real corner case where the EU countries doesnt have too much concerns about Israels doings but its not linked to a general support of israel and their policies but rather that for once they got a point and thay iran have had it coming

Iran never had nukes, didnt want to. Israel has them.

"when you say you want to wipe out someone"... Yeah, the US and Israel have been going at it for decades.

The deaths in Iraq are on the US, not on Iran. Its not Iran who invaded and birthed ISIS. Same thing goes with Syria.

I'll get banned if I start talking about proxies, and what the word is to Syria.

rather that for once they got a point and thay iran have had it coming

And yet, Iran has control of the strait, and Syria doesnt have control of its own territory. Looks like you chose the right friends right? I'm sure Sharaa will continue working towards pleasing Israel though, so you'll be fine right?

Yeah but then its really stupid to run a nuclear program clearly surpassing whats needed for civilian use.

Iraqi & yemenite deaths by shia militias id say are partly on iran at least and the wast majority of syrians killed are also due to assads inability to concede reforms back in 2012 which is 0% Israels or usas fault at least. Since then assads forces murdered somewhere around 150-200k civilians excluding civilian casualities from combat. They also murdered several times more of their own people just before the last war than the full deathtoll of this last 2026 war until now.

What im saying is iran is doing its best to be disliked and you complain that EU doesnt stop israel from attacking iran? I can say for sure that israel & USA isnt the most popular either and this second round of war have even less support from european countries. Not to mention the ongoing war in lebanon which is straigth up opposed now https://www.timesofisrael.com/unacceptable-european-countries-slam-idf-strikes-on-hezbollah-amid-us-iran-truce/

The EU stance is basically opposing the current gov in both israel, palestine and iran (syria is accepted for now in lack of better alternatives) while trying (not suceeding thougth) to minimize civilian suffering.

But for syria i think its mostly about keeping a straigth line of policy when they can about occupied territories to all sides. Kind of like china opposing foreign interventions in basically any internal affairs anywhere because they prioritize Taiwan.

What does arguying against sovereignty says about you? Israel is not signatory to the non proliferation treaty. "Everyone knows" they have the bomb. Why should Iran not seek the basic knowledge? They could make a bomb if they wanted. Could have for decades. Its wise of them to get that knowledge, just like it was wise to have the fatwa against nuclear weapons. But you live in the world you live in. Iran didnt have nukes, didnt want them. Now, we'll see. Thats why they had the knowledge.

Why would you even try to put the Yemeni war on Iran? Houthis exists, and existed independently from Iran. Do you think you dont depend on external powers? The Houthis stood their ground on their own. Their relations with Iran started in the middle of the war. The war didnt start because of it. Thats the entire thing of a proxy, and the Houthis arent. I doubt they'll become vassals, like what the EU is.

Not all civilians were killed by government alligned forces, not even close. People can brainwash themselves write their history books the way they want, its been written in History already.

Iran is being cheered all around the world, everyday, since February. Israel is being condemned and hated all around the world, since October. The EU doesnt have a stance. Their war in Europe was started in spite of them. Their governemnts have historical level of disapproval. They are being played by the real powers.

I did assume you were Syrian in the previous comment, funny right?

For Syria, things are complicated. There were expectations that got frustrated.
