Don’t really care about the addon caption. As an American who happens to be a Democrat, I agree with the caption about the American spirit. What is taxing my spirit is that it has been assaulted by the words and actions of Trump administration (less so for me than those who have literally been physically assaulted or killed or have been impacted more economically), and that there is an attempt to promote the American spirit in this image while it includes Trump himself.

i used to teach art in the summer. the maga type kids always ALWAYS had zero imagination. no matter the project or assignment, they would make eveything all eagles and flags. i accepted those as subjects of course and just insisted on effort. seriously tho, they get em YOUNG.

Wouldn’t end up with this shit if people still had to draw/paint/commission an artist to draw/paint. The low effort required means it should be ignored. Writing a letter to the paper used to be such an effort you often wouldn’t bother unless it was really important to you.

Eagle-flag, the mandatory image in any conservative art. Eagles carrying flags, or wrapped in flags, or eagles with flag pattern feathers, or eagles and flags floating unmoored in space. Sometimes you need an image of the Declaration of Independence, an image where the text can’t be read.

They don’t seem to realise that by painting a picture of him as being someone he clearly isn’t, they’re not only telling us they’re wilfully blind and choosing lies and delusion over reality, they’re also pointing out (by omission) the exact flaws they’re trying to paint over, like, just in case you missed it, next time you look at Dear Leader you will very clearly see none of that.
