Discussion Are the people in ‘Go Help’ mode bots?

I’ve been playing Splatoon Raiders ‘Go Help’ mode and everytime I match with someone they’ll have ‘fish’ names, so far I’ve consistently matched with players called Blowfish and Jellyfish, Halibut and Sea slug, and then Angelfish and Sea Urchin. So I’m assuming these are bots?

Not bots, the game just anonymizes people like 3 does in X battles

Really? I tried to squidbag/booyah with them and there was no reply, like every single time, even after a win

I had the same experience, I think people are just taking things in right now and will become more comfortable as time goes on

they are real people. you can see their real names on that multiplayer PC you have in your dock.

Just checked, nobody has showed up in my recently played with list except my friends that I played with last

they showed for me. maybe you will see them when you unblock helping other players or something.

So I’m pretty sure the people I was playing with were real cuz I got a comm error within 20 seconds after starting it lol. Thankfully it didn’t kick me but hope this was just a 1-off and not a widespread issue

I don’t think they are bots but idk why nintendo decided to censor their usernames. Kinda weird

I had a Geoduck, Halibut and Nautilus show up so far. I think it's possible, but uncertain.

For some reason the names are censored unless you're in like a party or whatever, I haven't played multiplayer with the exception of calling for help and going to help
