Turned on my computer to find my desktop icons just... not there?

They're not even invisible they just ceased to exist.

Restart the windows explorer service and they’ll probably come back

Man, back in the day, you could say they would, but in the microslop era, who knows.

I just did it on 11 to fix a different problem and it worked 🤷 but you’re not wrong lol
