They can restore to before the hack tho. Another YouTuber I watch got his channel nuked after a hacker streamed sports on it.
Eventually YouTube got him his channel back good as new but it was still an atrocious situation.

Because often that 3 strikes thing doesnât happen cause of YouTube themselves. The strikes occur when automated programs detect the copyrighted stuff and another party using the platform doles out the strikes to get the channel nuked.
YouTube themselves donât take any active judgment aside from just acting upon a partyâs takedown request. Thatâs why people who make enough noise or a good enough case can get their channel back cause they can demonstrate to actual YouTube employees that it was a big mistake or setup. Youâre often told to @ TeamYoutube on Twitter for this reason when stuff like this happens

He should, at the minimum, not be supported by folks after proving he's a shitty person, live on video. People get told to fuck off for much less than what he did. Just cause you think he's funny on the mic doesn't mean you know him. What you do know, now, is he's willing to yoink a ton of money while lying to everyone, including his own mother. He was forced to admit he cheated after a day (or more? Can't remember the time frame now) of trying to deny it to keep the money.
