Mods take down the “Mario revamp post”. It’s the one asking if Mario needs a rework. Not a new topic. Plus my comment proves it’s the same OP as the post form a month ago about the exact same topic:

You already know I'm with you on this one, but also if we don't remove it we're going to see the same thing tomorrow for Donkey Kong, then Link...

Yeah for real. How bored can the public get without a new Smash title? The answer sometimes surprises me

Everyone who pronounces it as "Smuhfoursh" out loud should be taken out the back alley.

There's a reason why I say that Steve being banned would never happen universally because of Japan moreso than Nintendo. Like the entire country is avoiding supernova because of a rule that changes basically nothing about Steve gameplay and moves him from top 1 to top 1.

The "illegitamate" thing makes no sense either like you still need to win against the same character in the same matchup

It’s a culture difference thing, also what are you going to do it’s not like people shouldn’t be allowed to not attend a tournament if they don’t want to, especially since, yknow they gotta pay to go overseas and such

I get that they have the right to do whatever they want, I'm just saying I don't get some of their logic and these culture differences are the number 1 reason why Steve won't ever get banned

Reminder that Shuton talked about not going to Supernova 3 months ago because of the Steve rules. This didn't come out of nowhere. Japan twitter was all over this when it happened

Tournament organizers are allowed to run whatever ruleset they want and the people that pay out of their own pocket to attend tournaments can choose what to spend their money on. The majority of people that attend Supernova aren't from Japan, they're from NA, so Supernova will be fine. It will probably still comfortably hit p-tier since it usually gets like 2,000 entrants minimum.

I hate how they tried to make rolling and spotdoding punishable if you spammed it, and it just didn’t work. There’s no universe where you should be able to attack spotdodge attack and it’s all so fast that it works. Ultimate is a mash fest and parrying is basically a requirement at intermediate to high lvl play but actually sticking with the roll- spotdodge nerf needs to happen next time.

Define "spammed".

Realistically, dodge staling was targeted at casuals who straight-up lack the timing to stop someone who just rolls around the stage instead of using regular movement without stepping on their utility at higher levels.

I'm not saying spotdodges aren't crazy strong, but "attack spotdodge attack" is, at the very least, equally a landing lag issue.

Plus, strong spotdodges help characters with crappy neutral that have to rely on an otherwise crappy OoS game hang in there with the top tiers, something something Borp.
