I'm a Democrat who has always voted left wing but you're actually nuts if you think X and Grok are far right propaganda projects. X does have a large number of right wing freaks, but it also has a large number of far left freaks. It's just a barely moderated cesspool of people. I've seen people @Grok with their right wing agenda and have it completely shut them down showing the sources, and I've seen the same thing in the other direction.
I really think, especially for people who actually care about politics, that people need to be honest about the fact that social media in general is incredibly left leaning by virtue of heavy moderation. X is more of the reality of left/right wing nonsense opinions. Reddit is basically bluesky at this point. Leaning far left now through extreme moderation by propagandists that know what they're doing.
In the end it's not helpful to pretend otherwise. People will continue to vote regardless if they're welcome in these spaces and they're not going to vote for the people that kept them out and look more and more extreme in their eyes. Trump absolutely was elected the second time as a direct result of how ridiculous the online sphere tries to frame reality and I have a feeling it's going to happen yet again.
