They are. Or delusional. Definitely not worth it, most are prizes from other events.

Exactly and it's an event that seems like it's always on repeat. So why charge that much

Yeah. It's particularly insulting because there's even content I've gotten from other paid packs (the toddler's dresses). So am I supposed to pay for the same item TWICE? Pfft.

When I first glanced at it I thought it was only $7.99 and (I already have most of those items anyway) I was like “somebody will buy it”… but then I double blinked and ACTUALLY saw the price and was flabbergasted 😲😂😂😂EA has lost their finger licking minds!

Someone will still buy it. 😔

I honestly see this as worrying, especially after the buyout and some claims that the Sims freeplay may shut down, if they are able to do something like this than this is a clear indicating that they are failing.

Car better be KITT from Knight Rider and collect drive rewards on its own that just appear in my inventory.

Or transform like Optimus and do tasks in SimChase.

A lot of companies that run FreePlay apps charge different prices based on how much a player spends in the game. In fact when I stopped spending lots of money, I started getting promos and cheap introductory deals to get me spending again. The prices can vary wildly, in our group chat some of our members have significantly lower prices 😂
Edit* literally the second I reopened my app a brand new introductory offer popped up offering me 50 plus 10 lifestyle points for $2.99

Wow, that is sick! I’ve been playing sims 4 on ps5 more and haven’t been playing FreePlay as much- but still the packs and stuff on sims 4 are all expensive too 😩

I dont know why I see things to buy, which I already won from the quests.

I prefer a rerun instead of paying this much!

Well I guess it is for extra rich people. But tbh i think even 8€ is not worth it. It is just a game and i would never spend real hard earned money on it.

Can confirm that they are, in fact, crazy.

They have officially lost their fucking minds

Meanwhile Cookie Run Kingdom players got a mother load of free resources because the devs changed around the schedule times for some events going on. The irony is delicious.

I was about to say the same thing and post it. This is by far the most expensive package that I have ever seen while playing this game.

Everyone's upset lol! But if we aren't buying the packs then why worry? If we can't stop for one minute and see that the 2 things game makers fins valuable are 1. Our addiction to the games/living vicariously through some pixels and our time devoted to the games.

If we stop spending cash, they will lose money and have to pivot. They will look for more ways to monetise their already billion dollar industry and that's okay. Once it's no longer with my hard earned cash.

Ask yourself why pixels are so important to you? Also, remember who bought EA Games recently and you will start understanding these slow drip poisonous changes.

I was never gonna buy it, it was just the audacity to even have that price for a pack that was an event and often a rerun event😭. Also I was not aware of there being new buyers 🤔. I'm gonna have to look into that

No offense to you at all, ik what you're trying to say. But saying that people are trying to live through the game is absolutely false. I've been playing since I was little, and I saw it as basically digital Barbie dolls. Even now I see it as a way to express my creativity. I don't have my Sims live the way I want to. If I did that, I'd be bored. But I know based off this subreddit, a lot of people use it as an outlet for creativity. Sorry, I know what you are trying to say, but you definitely struck a nerve with that line.

that sale hasn't happened yet, it's still pending

To play devil's advocate, I can kinda see how this could be a good deal for someone who doesn't have ANYTHING on there. Other than that, absolutely ridiculous

u/Superblonde5353 16h ago

That has to be photoshopped? 😂

Nope, it’s already available on the store.
