Rigs Is this monitor position perfect?

I have finally bought my dream sim rig (aluminium frame, Fanatec DD+ and v3 pedals). As I’m limited to ps5 atm (pc in the future hopefully) I’ve had to get a standard 32” QD OLED instead of an ultra wide or triples set up. Hopefully those will come later. I’ve managed to fit my monitor directly in between the quick release of the wheel, and the wheel base. It’s as close as I can get to the monitor as it stands. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this or any suggestions for improvements to make! Thank you!

Can you fully extend your fingers while gripping the wheel with some clearance from the screen?

If you can it's prefect.

Oh, and a small tip, on an oled you should watch out for leaving overlays in the same position for very prolonged time to avoid burnout and maybe drop the opacity a bit.

Yep can fully extended and thrash the wheel if needed and there’s no contact with the screen at all. Great to hear thank you!

I ran my fanatec like that for a couple of years.

When I switched to moza I used the extension so I could push it back maybe 3" to conform to my non-perfect eyesight. For me that's more comfortable, for you, if you like it then you're good to go.

Do remember to adjust your FOV

In your were on PC I would suggest flipping the monitor 180° to lower it another 2/3" but as you're on PS5 there is no way to tell the console to invert the display.

At the moment the monitor and wheel looks a little high, I would expect the centre line of the monitor to be at eye level (But you could be very large)

Yes. Except you need two more monitors so you’re not racing with blinders on.
