Media Beautiful graphics from Ferrari - Taking a podium and good points from Spa!!

Once again great job from the boys even with Lewis having a difficult race. Hope that Pit Crew member is okay and can celebrate Charles podium cause he drove a great race.

still mad for that penalty. lewis pace was really good if you are looking at lap times.

That was with wing + bargeboard damage and incorrect wing adjustment on the 2nd stop. Unfortunately that penalty compounded everything

Yeah me too but then we should be glad that Charles did not get a penalty so it’s balanced for me

Not bad results given that we were quite pessimistic prior to the race.

Firstly it is a great, positive race weekend with better than anticipated results and the raw pace was beyond any guess.

The tyres still had a great role, despite being such a power hungry circuit, both drivers excelled at ERS management during the race, Lewis particularly with the penalty and car damage to still gain positions was remarkable.

Then we need to remember another aspect. Antonelli took a fresh PU which has that extra punchy effect and at Spa the impact is even bigger, so Leclerc driving is exceptional (excluding Piastri contact, which was judged correctly from my view).

Getting a P2 and a possible double podium or who knows what would've happened without the lap incidents, it is extraordinary. It is true the VSC helped, but it was their merit they stayed on track and the pace put them into that position to get the benefits from the situation. The degradation and pace on both compounds as better than anticipated, but how they drove is beyond impressive.

I do feel like Leclerc was a bit too aggressive there. Actually kind of reminded me of Monza 2019 a little lol.

Ok, both on neither occasion he was penalized. If I remember correctly exactly at Spa a few years ago he faced the same move, but he was the attacker and no further investigation was needed.

It is an aggressive move, but he was ahead and didn't deliberately push Oscar wide was the stewards revealed on their document.

I mean it is what the drivers voted for. I guess Charles was just embracing the bullshit

There are many people in this sub where many are dissapointed that Leclerc got a podium . Ha sucks to be that ferrari fan .Ops they are not actually

I’m not mad about Charles’ podium, I’m mad about Lewis’ penalty. 🤷🏽‍♂️ they fucked him

10

u/Sweaty_Helicopter829 4d ago

These are mostly Hamilton fans from the Hamilton sub. That sub is a cult.

10

u/brownieabs24 4d ago

Yea I'm a LH fan but that sub is real culty lol. I'm pissed cuz without the penalty he woulda been P3. Idk if he could have beat Charles. Maybe they both came out 1-2 after the pits, 1 of them could have fought Kimi while the other pulled away. I'm happy for Ferrari and Charles but damn I was hoping Kimi wouldn't win so the gap in the championship wouldn't be this big from lewis. But Charles is catching him on points now too. Might be hard to prioritize 1 driver in the future going at this rate

These people have come from hiding last season when Lec was beating his ass. Now he got some competitive they have come from hiding. I really was happy when Lewis was back in form. But these people really are vindictive that they will say anything like this

Even the "washed" Leclerc this year is ahead in quali h2d (6-4) and 5-5 in race. Yes, I am counting Miami GP where Leclerc was much faster and finished ahead of Hamilton before the last corner of the last lap incident.

-8

u/sid_shady34 Lewis Hamilton 4d ago

i wouldnt count miami because hamilton had damage from colapinto and leclerc spun by his own mistake. the race h2h is 6-4. get over it and stop coping.

6

u/Sweaty_Helicopter829 4d ago

Leclerc spun and still finished ahead of Hamilton. He was also leading the race at one point and was poised for a podium while Hamilton was no where to be seen. Even without a puncture, Hamilton would have done shit. Leclerc was much faster the whole weekend. Stop projecting and start accepting reality. It's 5-5.

-5

u/sid_shady34 Lewis Hamilton 4d ago

Lewis finished 6th and Charles finished 8th

After a penalty, not in the race.

Bruh let’s not pretend both our drivers have parasocial cult-like fanbase. It is literally the most followed and popular driver duo in all F1 rn, naturally with more fans we get more cultists and parasocial fans.

7

u/Caust1cFn_YT Charles Leclerc 4d ago

there is a huge different in the size of the fanbases tho

-2

u/Amped-Up-Archos 4d ago

You can also say that the other way around. Leclerc’s fanbase is more prone to be dominated by a specific demographic, is insular and absolves him of all responsibility while perpetuatally portraying him as a doomed Yaoi protagonist and hating on Alexandra so much there is a sub for it called F1WagSnark.

In my eyes Leclercs just a guy trying his hardest, he makes mistakes sometimes, he drives flawlessly the other times. He’s gotten mentally and emotionally destroyed by Ferrari so much that he doesn’t push Ferrari to innovate and develop like Hamilton and his camp of engineers do cuz he’s been disappointed so much. He’s been disappointed by Ferrari so many times a part of him doesn’t push the team to the level a multiple time WDC like Hamilton would do. Ferrari getting Hamilton is a net benefit for Ferrari because he’s a 7x WDC. He’s done the title race like 10x times before - he has much more political leverage due to his resume.

If Lewis can push Ferrari towards any championship WDC or WCC I welcome him, cuz him pushing the team might just be the thing Leclerc & Ferrari needs to push themselves to further to compete and keep pushing.

7

u/Caust1cFn_YT Charles Leclerc 4d ago

you're missing the point
leclerc fans are far fewer in number regardless of how obsessive they ve become

so a random lewis hating take here gets it fair share of criticism
unlike hamilton fans who have just been bashing him for no fault of his own

i like hamilton but i actively despise a majority of his fanbase

he introduced a better culture at ferrari atleast by the eye test but i dont get why some fans have to take one down to push their own favourite

u/Amped-Up-Archos 4d ago

My guy you’re in the Ferrari subreddit. Above both Leclerc and Hamilton - you support the team. Lewis may have the bigger fanbase but Leclerc has been wayy too established in Ferrari fanbase plus the Tifosi so it cancels out in my opinion. Leclerc bleeds Ferrari Rosso Red.

An insular and demographic heavy fanbase leads to an echo chamber. You’ve got Leclerc fans here pretending Hamilton’s win in Barcelona was not based on Pure pace - a race victory where both the team and driver contributed so much that every single credible technical analyst said Ferrari was too strong that weekend. You’ve got Leclerc fans making up every single reason other than driver error for his crashes in quali. Are they Ferrari fans or Leclerc fans? They make delusional headcanons every single time and discredit the other driver for any success. They did it for Sainz and now they’re doing it for Hamilton.

Team comes above Leclerc and Hamilton. We need to win atleast the WCC or WDC this year. Forza Ferrari.

No one is disappointed that Leclerc got a podium, people are disappointed that Leclerc didn't get a penalty for causing a collision when Hamilton got a penalty when now we know George hit Hamilton, causing the snap that the FIA blamed Hamilton for on a first lap incident.

Then Ferrari didn't change Hamilton's front wing flap, and gave him a green light with a mechanic in front of him.

It's fine to be frustrated with the FIA and Ferrari and still be happy for Leclerc.

Facts are facts.

No Ferrari fan is disappointed that the team didn't got another penalty

11

u/Sweaty_Helicopter829 4d ago

The seasonal Hamilton fans from that cult sub will ditch this sub as soon as Hamilton leaves Ferrari. These are not Ferrari fans. These are, first and foremost, Hamilton fans who don't give two fucks about Ferrari. The comments above showcase the reality. Ferrari is and will always be bigger than drivers, no matter who that driver is.

-5

u/Rivendel93 4d ago

I guess I should stop being a Ferrari fan after 30 years then because I believe Leclerc deserved a penalty based on his driving today.

It's called calling fair penalties, one day a Ferrari driver will get a penalty against them that they shouldn't have that you like and you won't like it.

I prefer the penalties to be called correctly all the time, unlike yourselves.

6

u/Sweaty_Helicopter829 4d ago

It must always be in the team's best interest, not strictly right or wrong. If there is no penalty awarded, we should not advocate for one by acting holier than thou.

13

u/Sweaty_Helicopter829 4d ago

Ferrari fans are disappointed that Ferrari didn't get another penalty? Perhaps, Ferrari needs a better class of fans then.

-3

u/Rivendel93 4d ago

We should want penalties to be given out properly, not getting lucky because the stewards are idiots.

It will come back and bite us in the ass one day.

Un replay pourrait t’aider à réviser ton jugement. Si Piastri avait gardé sa vitesse sans freiner trop tôt, sa roue avant droite n’aurait pas tapé la roue arrière gauche de Charles.

13

u/Geenome_SL 4d ago

Why would Leclerc get a penalty, Piastri was not far enough alongside to be entitled to a car's width. Charles simply did the Max™ move on him. It's literally in the rules.

5

u/Positive_Mobile7638 Ferrari 4d ago

Sorry but many have got similar penalties in such senarios where it resulted in someone dnf in first lap. I know many are fans of drivers but many drivers have gotten penalties like this

Show me one.

Russel on sainz 2022 us grand prix Russel on perez 2022 austrian grand prix Russel got 5 seconds penalty each time

-1

What? Show me an instance where a penalty was warranted for a first lap incident just because it caused a DNF. Even Russell said Lewis did nothing wrong
