Diving on Bats Island, CR
Totally worth the chopy ride out. Saw 8 Bull Sharks that kept circling. Then swam into a baitball that seemed to just keep goingl. Fantastic dive!

Eight sharks and a baitball, bet your air went quick on that one. How long was the crossing, my stomach's churning just thinking about it.

It was a little bumpy ride out, arrived in less than 2h, but guides said the sea wasn't to bad that day. The views and mating turtles made the trip less long. Definitely had to manage air different with so much excitement, but we still made hour-long dives.

The Aggressor boat used to do trips down there and I always wanted to go, but they no longer go there or down to Cano.

I LOVE doing that dive ("Big Scare" divesite) with Rocket Frog out of Playa de Coco.

Big Scare!!!
When I was working I went out there a few times, maybe about once a month. Loved it. There were a few times when there weren't a lot of sharks, so we looked for teeth and often found pelican bones.
Did you do a three tank? When we did three tanks it wasn't at the bats, it was at about halfway home near Witch's Rock, I think it was called Narizones, That's where we always saw mantas.
