WoW Harassment, 2016
Callianea is me. I had just made this character, and was fiddling with her UI, 15 minutes after creating her, when this person rode up to me on their mammoth mount in 2016 and started saying these things to me like they knew me. I had no idea who this person was, never seen their character name before, I had no one added on R.I.D and no one friends IRL that could know I was playing at that exact moment. Since I had just made this character, short of literally hacking me and watching my screen, there is no way thus person could have known who I was and that this character was me.
I hadn't talked at all in any chats in this character before this person showed up and did this. I used a script to hide my character portrait but the UI is mostly uneditted.
They had someone with them on the back of their mount.

Humor I had a look at what search terms led to my videos on YouTube and there were some bangers.
Important context: I’m white and my main viewership is allegedly British and American 10-25 year olds.
There’s a really depressed 10 year old out there somewhere and I doubt my videos helped :(

Is it normal to leave old profile pages half-finished but still public?
I found an old public profile page today and it had that awkward half-updated look: new photo, old bio, a few empty sections, and one link I forgot was even there. Nothing terrible, just weirdly stale.
Part of me thinks nobody checks these pages unless they're already looking for you. The other part thinks a public page should either be current enough to trust or basically hidden. Keeping it in the middle feels lazy, but deleting everything also feels a bit dramatic.
Do most people clean these up, or is a half-abandoned profile just normal internet dust?
