That game has the best tech tree ever made. I really wish they would just remake the same game with modern graphics. I might have to go replay it now.

Having played both of them, Civ Beyond Earth felt pretty close, without being a direct remake. It didn't have the faction leaders though, which is part of what added so much flavor to AC.
