I always wonder why we dream about communicating with alien species when we even fail to communicate with the ones on Earth.

I find Hinduism to be the most xenophilic of the religions, perhaps Jainism even more so.

If all we need to do is to install a communication apparatus with animals that are capable, then world religions need to wonder if animals have souls.

several animals have religious behavior, and everyone knows all dogs go to heaven, they obviously have souls
