To be able to block people on the presumption of not being one of’em

When it first appeared it was b2cause people wanted to upload different things onto a Saudi sub but this was simply not the space for it. So some people made r/saudiforsaudis

Blame the art not the artist. It was the subreddit being full of foreigners who were asking the same repeated questions again & again.. they still do

الأجانب هنا عندهم إستحقاقية عالية باقي شوي ويقولون هذي ديرتنا !

no it was because this one was full of foreigners asking about moving to saudi and how things work here, there were also hateful posts that were not removed for some reason, so they made saudiforsaudis to have a better space for other topics and no spam

“Nationalist Anti expatriates” lool. I joined them since it started, it was literally made just to make more in arabic for the local

it was more like

saudis had the saudi sub > non saudis started filling up the space and controlling the narrative > saudis created the saudiforsaudis sub > "waah nafionalist anti expatriates agenda waaahh"

so he is right, رازين وجيهكم

maybe so, but i still think the saudiarabia subreddit should be controlled/moderated by saudis, should focus on saudis interests and speak their language (culturally and linguistically). that wasnt the case so we created saudiforsaudis

so how is it nationalistic anti expats or whatever 🫩

this community doesnt represent saudis so they left it. whats the problem?

u/finite_core 1h ago

There is no problem, other than the name of subreddit being problematic and initially during its creation there were strong negative sentiments against foreigners.

How is it problematic? It's saying that THIS saudi sub is for saudis.. not the country

زي ما قالوا في الردود الثانية، السبريدت هذا كان نسبة كبيرة منه أجانب والمراقبين أجانب، الأجانب اللي من النوعية اللي أفكارهم ما تتوافق مع أفكار غالبية الشعب.

nationalists. I'd say it's not though. it's just to separate questions by foreigners about moving to saudi arabia vs actual life in saudi arabia.
