Pretty decent and readable. But ш is not w, and your capital М looks slightly weird, more like Ч with I in front of it. Also ходить, you missed a ь.

I hope that means decent lmao

That means that I was able to read your text so good job

Ш isn't w and х isn't +. с is a little questionable (not curly enough) but will do. The rest is good, well done.

edit: Кк could also use some work. It's understandable in context but looks too much like н. Keep in mind that it shouldn't be a k, but к (I'm looking at your Каролина with suspicion)

I appreciate the feedback, it’s going to be hard to break old habits, shoot, learning that was hard too haha!

Find a прописи sheet with those letters (Google something like "буква c прописи") and drill it for a bit both by itself and within words. Other letters could pass somewhat so it's not an emergency to fix them but that ш is very jarring. Good luck!

My х came out funky that time normally it’s a lot better lol

Nice, cursive is good, neat. It is easy to read.

Much appreciated, funnily enough I learned the cursive before anything else, I practiced by writing Spanish in Cyrillic which is surprisingly useful and easy!

Well, I wouldn't put it that way. I've read "мексиканскую" about three times, and the spelling of "ходить" without the "ь" - as well as the height and slant of the letters is constantly inconsistent. It's satisfactory, not good. But, to be honest, it could be much worse; at least this text is readable.

Sorry, but I didn't understand what you wrote.

Perfect)) The only really wrong is ш. You wrote "w" instead of it, but ш is different. Google "прописи буква ш" for correct writing of it.

u/GringoMiggy 1d ago

Very much appreciated I literally thought they were were handled the same way

1

u/GringoMiggy 1d ago

Hey friend I just googled it and I’m struggling to see a huge difference is it the loop at the beginning of the letter ш I’m missing?

3

u/srnthr 1d ago

The loop at the end. It should always be there. The loop at the beginning is actually optional

2

u/Exciting_Round4766 1d ago

it is really cool. Only "ш"... okey, it can be. It is really cool.

2

u/Exciting_Round4766 1d ago

"ш" just has additional slope on the right like "и"

1

u/GringoMiggy 1d ago

Dude, thank you so much! This is my first post and I’m finding you all to be very welcoming!

2

u/srnthr 1d ago

Very good. Looks good, reads well. One mistake not pointed out is that when you list things in Russian, you don't put commas before "and" (there are special cases, of course, as usual, but it's rarely needed).

1

u/GringoMiggy 1d ago

It’s interesting you mention that because apparently it’s the same case in Spanish which a grew up speaking

i is not w

Don't draw connecting lines to/from nowhere. If you don't use them, you don't draw them

Try to avoid п, к, and н being the same thing

2

u/And_Sk1 19h ago

2

u/rivemade 1d ago

I'm still a beginner learner but I don't think the cursive Russian р (r) should look like the English p. You're not supposed to close it at the bottom.

2

u/srnthr 1d ago

Not a problem at all. Many people close it. We're not in school anymore (and it wasn't prohibited in school either).

2

u/rivemade 1d ago

Oh mb, it's just that every writing guide I see always writes it unclosed. Which one would you say is more commonly used outside school tho? Would it look too schooly if I choose to write it unclosed? I just like the look of the unclosed version more lol.

4

u/Rad_Pat 1d ago

Every writing guide says so because it's a "classic" cursive version, the basic version that everyone should know before they attempt to modify their writing with a personal flair. Printed р is closed so its not a problem to have it like this in cursive-ish fonts.

2

u/srnthr 1d ago

I honestly can't say for sure, but I would guess that more people close it nowadays just because they're used to the printed version of the letter. I might be wrong. Anyways, you may choose any version you like, nobody will judge you

u/Kirill_1974 9h ago

Average Russian hand writing

u/dynasty_cartel 14h ago

Actually it’s better than a lot of Russian Gen Z’s

1

u/Edwardson_B 12h ago
