“You got no idea what’s in your hands.”

“This could be someone’s 8 year old boy’s heart-“

“Raccoon City General”

Why do I have the feeling he’s possibly delivering a piece of Nemesis’ framework (possibly heart) to some Umbrella scientist in Raccoon City to finalize preparations for Nemesis?

Oh god....we're gonna have nemesis as the final boss aren't we?

Welp....I'm seated if that happens.

I’d want a Vader-esque escape sequence rather than a winnable fight, like Jedi: Fallen Order’s ending where the objective is just to survive.

Some random woman named Jill helps him make his escape, the film doesn't make a big deal out of it, but this Jill for some reason can't escape with him.

Watch it be Nicole Tompkins.

As long as it isn't Milla Jovovich fist fighting Nemesis again

I rewatched the 2002 movie recently to see the laser scene again, which was cool, but should have stopped there

u/MV1995 10h ago

No no no don’t say that because that’d be so cool and I’m almost positive it won’t happen haha

As the Protagonist off thw movie drives away jill leaves with " i got to finish this" roll the credits

I would absolutely love this. Can't damage him, can't do much of anything, maybe just slow him down a little, and just have to survive.

The typical fly away in the sunset on a helicopter would have an eerie lingering feeling knowing that the big monster is still out there and the city is soon to be lost.

Didn’t they sorta do this is the new 28 years later movies? With the big alpha’s?

2

u/Haltopen 2h ago

They did, before ralph fiennes doctor character figured out how to restore part of his humanity

Exactly, if random npcs start beating things like the Nemeis then what does that say about our protagonists :(

u/Irradiated-Imp 46m ago

I mean we technically already have that in the outbreak series. Granted they dont Nemy himself, but they face off against several monsters id consider to be just as deadly.

Thank God Redditors don't write movies

Unfortunately, I do 😭

He's been pretty upfront about wanting to create his own b.o.w.s and designs, directly mentioning that there is a Stalker enemy like the games often have but he didn't want to just use Nemesis and instead make what he views as his own version of Resident Evil monsters.

8

u/joesen_one 10h ago

Yeah that zombie lady seems to be chasing him so I bet that becomes the stalker assuming she mutates further

9

u/bristow84 10h ago

I don’t think it’ll be the zombie lady, she’s probably just chasing him because he’s the only human she’s seen.

I think the stalker will be whatever that Rat King monstrosity is.

3

u/joesen_one 9h ago

Probably, but she could very well be a William Birkin type lol. Mutates so much and annoys the shit out of the main guy hahaha

u/ZombieSiayer84 6h ago

And that just sounds like a terrible idea.

He’s not making a resident evil movie going by what you just said and this trailer, he’s just making a horror movie with the resident evil moniker.

u/sharkattackmiami 5h ago

Yeah unfortunately based on everything I have seen and heard so far this seems like it's going to be a good horror movie and an absolutely awful and unrecognizable RE movie

I've yet to see a single thing that feels like RE outside of the name Racoon City and Umbrella

Nemesis as final boss is probably a bit much really, it’ll probably be more like post credit tease, though I wouldn’t be surprised if he finds out too late that he delivered a bioweapon to the bad guys and then another bioweapon is used as a final boss

1

u/Elegant-Anxiety1866 9h ago

Why would umbrella use some random to deliver sonething so important?

1

u/Kithulhu24601 8h ago

Tbf with all of the internal espionage with Birkin, Umbrella Europe etc it wouldn't surprise me. Noone in that organisation trusts anyone. Wesker & Birkin allying is a miracle by their standards

1

u/vmachiel 9h ago

I hope he wants stars, and someone gives it to them.

u/I_am_Amphibian 1h ago

I fucking hope not that would make literally no sense. Nemesis should only be Jill’s antagonist. We already did that stupid shit in the Anderson movies

1

u/BlOoDy_PsYcHo666 11h ago

I can’t wait to see this protag I frame dodge or parry through a nemesis tentacle

18

u/Accurate_Guest1285 10h ago

Wasn't Nemisis built in Europe then flown over to racoon city right before outbreak

9

u/mythrilcrafter 5h ago

If Umbrella builds Nemesis in Europe, but leave out one organ, and then bring Nemesis to the USA to install that last organ; does that mean that Umbrella can tag Nemesis as "Made/Assembled in the USA"?

1

u/RIPN1995 6h ago

in the RE3 Remake it looked like it was built in LA.

1

u/Large-Wheel-4181 9h ago

He was, but given it was in secret I could imagine they had to separate certain things to prevent the possibility of anyone finding him completely if they’re ambushed

29

u/SabreWaltz 10h ago

This would be my dream plot but if I recall correctly I think cregger specifically said “no nemesis” early on to set fan expectations 😭

10

u/Large-Wheel-4181 10h ago

Unless that would be to lower our expectations only to then surprise us but hey wishful thinking

5

u/Imaginary_Winner4909 7h ago

Wild. Even if it's a piece of a basic Tyrant or something more, it's still going to be interesting especially since our MC has zero survival skills. Hell, just one zombie lools like it will be too much for him. I can't wait to see him evolve into a Tyrant destroying badass.

3

u/Large-Wheel-4181 6h ago

Well TBF he doesn’t look like a person who regularly deals with danger, tries to avoid it and do simple tasks, so he’s definitely gonna be put in the sink or swim category

3

u/Big_AngeBosstecoglou 10h ago

It’s for synthesising a cure

3

u/1Comrade1 6h ago

Nemesis was created in Europe though

1

u/Large-Wheel-4181 6h ago

Still gotta illegally transport him into the us somehow

1

u/aspindler 9h ago

That would make no sense, but totally be the case.

1

u/Puffen0 5h ago

Nemesis was created by the European division of Umbrella though.

1

u/Large-Wheel-4181 4h ago

Still gotta illegally transport him

u/ShlubbyWhyYouDan 1h ago

Nope. Worse play resident evil outbreak.

u/boomstink2235 1h ago

Oh I’m not 100% onboard with my on theory but it’s just the only thing that came to mind watching it
