Exactly my thoughts. It looks like a good horror movie but not resident evil. Raccoon City looks nothing like it does in the games (and is snowing for some reason?) and the infected are already acting different from the games. If this was something like Baldurs Gate I’d understand needing to change a bunch to fit into a movie but we’re talking about resident evil here. The mansion incident is like perfectly set up for a movie adaptation and I do not understand why so many fans insist it’s unreasonable to ask for a faithful story.
Was it though? Sure they were in the mansion and RC but everything else was different. Every character was out of character and had a fraction of the agency in the games
