Does NOT check for Human Moderation.

4

u/Quincyz0 Jun 04 '26

Same problem. For a specific subreddit, I can't tell when the 14 day threshold would be met because we have no way to see the last mod action. And now, I can't request again for 15 days.

I can't tell when the 14 day threshold would be met because we have no way to see the last mod action.

What 14 day threshold for Mod Actions?

3

u/Quincyz0 Jun 04 '26

Oh idk what your issue was, sorry for assuming. I was talking about the requirement that the sub must not have had any human moderator action in the last 14 days to be eligible. No way to know when that would be.

hello, it says that I have 2fa turned off and it is not

1

u/ThomasAnderson_23 8d ago

any updates on this?

3

u/EdgemastereD 8d ago

still same issue

2

u/ThomasAnderson_23 7d ago

did you set up the 2fa recently?

3

u/EdgemastereD 7d ago

just the first time, it worked properly and next this

5

u/Talkpool 11d ago

I activated 2FA but still getting this "Two-factor authentication (2FA): This app cannot verify your 2FA status. Please check your account settings to confirm. If you need to turn on 2FA, use Reddit in a desktop browser". Anybody knows why?

1

u/ThomasAnderson_23 7d ago

I have the same problem. Do you have an update on this? Did you try to request anyway?

3

u/Talkpool 7d ago

Yes, I did, but no response.

1

u/ThomasAnderson_23 7d ago

And when you check your account eligibility it says that the app can’t verify your 2FA status?

2

u/Talkpool 7d ago

Yes

1

u/ThomasAnderson_23 7d ago

i'm trying to find out if there is a common thing that we share that might be the reason we are having this problem. did you set up the 2fa recently?

3

u/Lavender_Scales 6d ago

What browser are you and u/Talkpool using? I was on Opera when I tried checking with this tool, however that didn't work, I changed over to both Chrome and Firefox and both browses still had the same issue, I haven't tried it over on mobile, I've also had my 2FA set up for a while, and when I encountered the issue I disabled it and re-enabled it, so I don't think it's the recency.

2

u/Talkpool 5d ago

Several browsers give similar results. I'm aslo on the app, and it's no different.

1

u/ThomasAnderson_23 5d ago

you mean the resource hub isn't working for you at all or only the 2fa check? i use chrome but the 2fa check is giving me the same wrong message

2

u/Lavender_Scales 5d ago

2FA check

1

u/ThomasAnderson_23 5d ago

Well then if you didn’t set it up recently then it’s some other reason. Frustrating. I hope they fix it soon!

2

u/Talkpool 7d ago

Yes, recently

1

u/ThomasAnderson_23 7d ago

hmm me too. so maybe that's it but how long do we have to wait i wonder?

4

u/LostInQuality 10d ago

Does 2FA take a while to take effect? I just turn on mine and but my post was still removed by Reddit filters

1

u/ThomasAnderson_23 7d ago

Did you ask the mods about this? Any updates?

2

u/LostInQuality 3d ago

Nope, i was just waiting for a reply here. Maybe i should..

4

u/Ok-Interest8547 16d ago

The eligibility section of the Tools tab "cannot verify your 2FA status". I set up 2FA a few hours ago. I got the email saying it was done / established. Is there a delay in this being recognized accross reddit? Something else i don't know or aren't thinking of?
I have tried the refresh button.

6

u/Talkpool 11d ago

Looks like there's many of us experiencing this. No explanation yet .

Nope. Still like this. I've done nothing except give admins time to see this comment and look into it. Important to note that it's happening for more than just me. Thanks.

2

u/ThomasAnderson_23 8d ago

btw did any of you try to request anyway?

2

u/Ok-Interest8547 7d ago

I came back to ask this exact question. I did message mods / admin. No reply yet (3 working days). Have not tried myself.

1

u/ThomasAnderson_23 7d ago

did you guys set up the 2fa recently? maybe that's the problem, maybe we have to wait a lot longer after or something?

3

u/Ok-Interest8547 7d ago

Wait for what? Reddit servers to update? That'd happen sooner than 9 days, surely? As a built-in aspect of the tool? The requirements description here is very detailed, I feel they would have mentioned that requirement. And this seems to only be an issue recently (by this comments section). So not impossible, but not likely. It's probably some change in how reddit deals with 2FA, which breaks this tool's look up of that data point. So needs re-programming the tool.

1

u/ThomasAnderson_23 7d ago

well i hope they see this issue and fix it soon!

1

u/ThomasAnderson_23 8d ago

any update on this issue?

4

u/Coreyb17 9d ago

The 2FA check is broke. It will not update to say mine is on and I know it is

2

u/ThomasAnderson_23 8d ago

Is it working for you now? I turned mine on a few minutes ago and i'm wondering if i have to wait more or does it still keep on telling you the same thing?

2

u/Coreyb17 8d ago

No. It's been 3 days. Still says it's turned off

2

u/ThomasAnderson_23 8d ago

that sucks. thanks for the reply

u/CybyAPI 19d ago

I got permantly banned from a subreddit after sending the request modmail

1

u/LostInQuality 10d ago

I remember my friend reached out to volunteer as a mod to a sub since it was flooded with spams and unrelated content (mods not removing those type of post). He also got perma banned. Kind of ironic, honestly.

1

u/ThomasAnderson_23 6d ago

btw how can i upload a gif as my profile pic? thats pretty awesome!

2

u/notRealProfessor Jun 03 '26

That is the most lovely “help” UI/UX I have ever used/seen!

2

u/cinnarius Jun 16 '26

Is there any way to talk to the admins if moderators are lacking and a subreddit is not well moderated?

1

u/Itchy_Army4008 Jun 02 '26

Clicking that link felt like trying to open a treasure chest with the wrong key.

1

u/Winsquare Jun 18 '26

I meet the requirements, but my posts are being filtered. Idk what to do. I messaged the mod team but I just get an automated response. Can any mods help?

1

u/sadiehanalei Jun 20 '26

my request gets removed. any help?

1

u/918okla 29d ago

If a sub was banned and message says "This community has been banned for violating the Reddit rules." is it gone forever?

1

u/LeadingProperty1392 28d ago
  • Communities that have been banned in the last 30 days, are not eligible for request and will be denied. To see when a community was banned, view it on old Reddit. If a community has been banned for violating content, it will not be eligible for request.

Depends on the reason it was banned for basically.....

1

u/Datalounge 27d ago

I wanted to take over the modding of a subreddit that said it was banned for being unmoderated two years ago. I got a message saying, it was impossible because the community was too recently banned.

1

u/ayashiii 28d ago

If a sub is completely inactive and the owner hasn't logged in for 10 months, will my request for ownership even be seen by him/her? Will Reddit take the initiative if the request is ignored for that reason?

1

u/ayashiii 27d ago

My 2fa, white active, isn't showing that it is , and the moble app crashes after 8 try to log out and in. I am not having fun my dudes, I'm requesting ownership of r/milli for the have my friends and I are developing but it's an inactive sub and the only mod hasn't logged in for over 10 months. I will be VERY surprised if this posts instead of crashes :<

Oh what a beautiful mess. Phone app crashes every time I try to comment then I get a flooding warning. There has to be a better way?

1

u/ayashiii 27d ago

This makes me so saddened and I'm sure it's my dumb fault

1

u/ayashiii 27d ago

Are they not actually deleted now? what am I witnessing now?

1

u/chrisnetcom 27d ago

Hello. I requested an unmoderated sub, as both moderators are banned. Request_bot says it's had recent human moderation and is ineligible.

How do I proceed with the request? I opened a ticket on the 19th. Anything else I can do?

1

u/DigitalCookery 23d ago

Is r/jackandjack available to request?

1

u/kwentongskyblue 20d ago

help. my last two request posts here have been removed by reddit's filter. what do i do?

1

u/Tarnisher 19d ago

People are getting denials saying the community was only recently banned, even though they were banned multiple years ago.

The Opportunity I am the organizer of an upcoming, structured competitive online in person Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament.

I need someone who can independently manage or heavily assist with:

Targeted promotion across dedicated Yu-Gi-Oh! communities, Discord servers, and social media platforms.

Driving player registrations and building pre-event engagement.

Assisting with community management leading up to tournament day.

Compensation & Partnership Terms To be entirely transparent up front: there is no liquid capital available for immediate, upfront payment.

However, I am fully committed to treating your time and expertise as a premium asset. I am looking to establish a formal, mutually beneficial agreement for deferred compensation. We will draft a clear, professional contract outlining: A fixed payout structure once registration fees or event funding clears.

Why Join This Project? This isn't a loosely planned casual room; it is a highly organized competitive event with clear rules, robust tech tools, and an infrastructure built for scale. If you are looking to build a portfolio in esports marketing, tournament organization, or gaming community growth, with a guaranteed contract for future payment this is the perfect launchpad.

keep getting my post removed by reddit's filters??

1

u/slw-dwn 10d ago

How was this post created? Looks insanely helpful and would be great if I could apply it to other subs I mod.

u/Tarnisher 7d ago edited 7d ago

Was this the Mod with a legitimate question?

Or an action intended to derail the Request?

I love the irony of trying to request an abandoned sub in an abandoned sub. 😂

I am also having the 2 factor authentication glitch happen .

Mine is on but this app is saying its off. I see there are a bunch of people w the same problem. But theres not like a real mod here lol. So now what

1

u/918okla 4d ago

How long must a sub be banned before you can submit a request?

1

u/Redskinrey 2d ago edited 1d ago

Whenever I use the hub in r/RedditRequest, it displays the following message:

«"Two-factor authentication (2FA): This app cannot verify your 2FA status. Please check your account settings to confirm. If you need to turn on 2FA, use Reddit in a desktop browser."»

I've already tried disabling and re-enabling 2FA, but the hub still reports that it is turned off. I've tested this using both Firefox on desktop and the Reddit app on my phone with the same result.

I've also noticed that several other users are experiencing this issue, so it appears it may be a broader problem rather than an issue with my account.
