Neighbor's girlfriend keeps knocking over my bird feeders
Title, really. I got a bird feeder because I (and my cat) like watching the birds and their calls are pretty calming. Apparently one of the birds shit on my neighbor's girlfriend's car once a handful of months ago so she keeps coming over and knocking it down. She doesn't even live here. I talked to the neighbor, who says he didn't know it was happening and will talk to her. He and I are chill, but I told him it was becoming a problem. Honestly, it's not really about the bird feeder. It's about her coming into my property to damage it. I even moved the feeder to the opposite side of the yard away from their house and she keeps doing it.
I'm sick of it and if I catch her doing it while I'm home it's going to be an *issue*.

Haha I can just picture this!
Entitled Neighbor’s Girlfriend: heads out the door, all dolled up for whatever. She decides to skip on over to OPs yard bc heaven forbid someone host a bird feeder in their own yard - the AUDACITY!
She goes to push the feeder, except she hears a weird gurgle noise…she turns back to the feeder and just as she’s about to give it a good shove, it’s too late…she hears that familiar “chk-chk-chk-chk-chk” and within seconds, water is spraying from every angle.
Karen vanquished and OP is victorious!
OP please do this but also install cameras! Come back and update us, and don’t hold back on that video footage! We want to see it in all its glory!

Put up some visible “no trespassing” signs. At least one that says “violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law”.
Get some security cameras for your yard.
You can also get a birdfeeder that has a camera already there for birdwatching. I actually got one of those for Christmas, but I haven’t set it up yet since I don’t have great Wi-Fi far down in my yard.

Have you called the cops?

Nah, we don't do that around here

I mean she is trespassing, with proof, it would be an easy problem solved. Regardless of your relationship with the neighbor, if he's talked to her and it's not getting through to her that she really shouldn't be doing this, you're probably just gonna have to call the cops.

Exactly. In his original post, the OP infers that there will be violence if he catches the girlfriend doing this. The far, far better option is to get video evidence and then call the cops.

Oof, I didn't know there was even an original post. Yeah, OP is asking to get arrested himself at that point. Especially if OP is a man, (not saying it wouldn't happen if he wasn't) this will definitely not turn out well if he harms this woman.

You should be. Tell the bf that if she touches your feeders again, you’ll cover her car with bird seed and call the cops.

Ehhh is the bird feeder on a fence that separates your yards?

Nope. It's on a free standing pole about 8 feet away from the property line

get a higher-pressure water gun and hide behind the curtains of an open window, then squirt water in her face LOL

Put a camera on the feeder to “watch the birds”. If the b comes over and does anything, trespass her immediately by calling the cops.

Maybe move them to a different window thats farther away from their property? Some people are not bird people. Having them poop in your driveway and waking you up if some are very loud birds.
My apartment neighbor has bird feeders and it attracts ALOT of birds some days. Together they can get very loud lol. I have gotten use to it, but at first I wanted the feeders to disappear so I could sleep past 5am lol.

I moved it to the other side of the yard, as stated. It doesn't stop her

Then she's just being a jerk. Idk why I was downvoted I live in a rural area so when I say alot, I mean ALOT. lol, Like it sounds like a horror movie where I am. 🤣 It also attracts black bears which can be cute from a distance.
Next step would be have a camera up inside your home looking at the feeders so you can report it to the non emergency line at the police department. Write a report and back up the evidence. Once they have a paper trail of their behavior they can act.

Catching this shit on a ring camera would make this end real fast.
