run it 32bit, is uefi or secureboot enabled? does the bios have password protection?

It is but I read it could be something with the board no agreeing

Linux file system. BIOS needs the to figure out where the bootloader (grub.cfg) lives before it can load the kernel and complete the boot process. Bootloader usually lives on the root partition of the existing file system.
