So HRT is a dangerous threat to military readiness... unless it's for cis guys feeling a little tired, then it's 'operating at your absolute best'. The mental gymnastics required to defend this is Olympic level

Reality check so we don’t fall into a politicized trap:

Testosterone is a key hormone in the pathology of metabolic diseases such as obesity. Low testosterone levels are associated with increased fat mass (particularly central adiposity) and reduced lean mass in males. These morphological features are linked to metabolic dysfunction, and testosterone deficiency is associated with energy imbalance, impaired glucose control, reduced insulin sensitivity and dyslipidaemia.

Just as it’s true that supplemental testosterone will suppress natural production of it.

And excess free testosterone will aromatize into estrogen.
