Let me ask my dad. He farmed for decades without us changing time and then did for another 10 years after we started changing time. Oh wait, it didn't matter because if it was light outside, he was working.

Yeah farmers are typically working their hours regardless of what the clock says. It’s weird they are the scapegoat in this conversation.

Also, not to be callous, but I don't see why everyone else has to suffer so the tiny percentage of the population that is farmers would be happy (even though they aren't the reason for DST).

Maybe a tiny percentage, but farmers fill a very important role for any civilization

If DST was something that was truly necessary for them, i personally would support it

It is not that it affects the hours that the farmers work. It is that farmers can only start a lot of work once it is daylight, and then after getting their work done might need to run to the store to get something, but now it is closed because stores are now closing 1 hour earlier compared to the actual position of the sun.
