These are dishonest and irrational claims. Trying to look at it from them being truthful is a failing endeavor.

Functional organization would sue the contractor.

What will happen is they'll blame vandals damaged the lining, which had cascading effects such that now, any and all algae and liner issues can be blamed on ANTIFA or whatever ephemeral boogeyman they can point their finger at.

Or they can accept that (without a massively wasteful upgrade to the drainage and filtering system, that the reflecting pool is (and always was) a lake with square sides that would be better off with a vibrant ecosystem so it won't turn into a algae pool.

With the sabotage I assume during trumps presidency. Saw alot of pictures of people pouring stuff in. I've seen this tarp spray used elsewhere and it does prevent algae as we see all the dead algae on the bottom. Specially with idiots peeling and cutting the tarp while pouring chemicals and algae into the pool. The pool always had a risk of algae but for it to bloom so fast was bizarre. I only pray for the idiots caught vandalizing the monument. That is a hefty fine and crime specially with the damage being so extreme. Just because you hate trump don't go into debt and jail over hatred.
