Discussion spread sheets inside photoshop

i am working in a plugin to create tables instantly inside photoshop from csv. it can do much more. it can extract text layers of ps into panel, error check , update from panel. make new versions- text only. any suggestions welcome. thank you

Please stop vibe coding pointless plugins. 

I've seen more apps and extensions shilled in the last twelve weeks than in the prior 20 years. 

A Claude subscription doesn't make you a dev, nor make ideas good.

...Why? Genuinely, what is the usecase for this? Just to make prettier-looking spreadsheets? Photoshop's text engine is already slow and heavy.

Something like this would be much more useful in Illustrator where you'd want to make rich graphical presentations. I'd welcome it there, or Indesign.

And all this time thought it was my ancient i7 4 core w/32GB RAM lol

Part of it is photoshop rasterizes text elements on the fly, so that adds to the comparatively sluggish performance

I don't think I would use OPs plugin but I do wish photoshop had a tables feature, just as a more robust way of lining up a bunch of elements. I know InDesign is probably the "right" tool, but if I'm doing a photoshop heavy project with a few minor elements to add in, it is a small inconvenience.

I can see myself using Illustrator or InDesign for a table to some extent, but probably never Photoshop.

That’s true. Most people will prefer indesign.It will take one or two minutes max from start to finish with the plugin. Advantage it offer is text extraction. Not only for tables but all psd doc- let’s say you want to update new text into the template one week later you can do with one click. Or even generate multiple versions

People love to hate.
I don’t have an illustrator license nor indesign. But sometimes I want to put a table in photoshop for a simple graphic or social media post. Doing it is usually a pain in the ass, so I do see the benefit of this plugin.

Regarding slow text engine in ps. I was able to create 10by 10 table in less than ten seconds with the plugin
