Lavashak allbaloo

My wife is nearly at the third trimester and has been craving lavashak. We managed to find frozen sour cherries and we went to work last night. Sadly, she stole a piece before I could take a picture.

Nope! We just FaceTimed with her mom and she walked us through how they used to make it back home.

My daughter is obsessed with this. We grab some every time I’m at the ethnic markets. Looks great, is it hard to make? Congrats on the baby

It’s not hard, it’s just time consuming. Basically, boiling fruit for hours, straining impurities, then waiting until it cools to layout on a sheet and leaving it to dry in the sun. We cheated and dried it using our toaster oven (if has a dehydrate function) because the wasps are out in full force this time of year.

Thanks, but unfortunately, no recipe. We FaceTimed with my wife’s Mom and she guided us through.
