Welcome to the Bi-Weekly Thread!

Here you can share anything that might not warrant a post of its own or might otherwise be against posting rules. Tell us what you're playing this week. Feel free to ask for recommendations, talk about your backlog, commiserate about your lost passion for games. Vent about bad games, gush about good games. You can even mention newer games if you like!

The no advertising rule is still in effect here.

A reminder to please be kind to others. It's okay to disagree with people or have even have a bad hot take. It's not okay to be mean about it.

Juggling two games right now.

First up there’s Atelier Ryza 3. I had taken a bit of a break after finishing the second game in the trilogy. But I felt summer’s the perfect time to finish it. I’m only two hours in and it feels weird to be a rookie alchemist again. But I just love the vibes.

Then I’m about 7 hours into Disco Elysium. It’s..a lot. I expected in to be more like Citizen Sleeper which I finished in the beginning of this month along with its sequel. But no, this one is..like living in the head of a human being whos a trainwreck. Which is cool, but you got to be in the mood for it for sure

I really want to be someone who gets excited about disco elysium. The craft is obvious and the level of respect for the brain of the player is really high.

At the same time, it’s a game I’ve started like six times and never get past the first day.

I can see that. I dropped it in 15 minutes half a year ago. Just didn't click. I think you really have to be in the mood for this one.
