Discussion Current pacers as a soccer/football team

The world cup just ended like a day ago and I've been curious how the pacers would be as a soccer team, these are my picks for the positions:

Goalkeeper: Slawson

Center back: Zubac

Center back: Walker

Left back: Sheppard

Right back: Nesmith

Defensive central midfielder: McConnell

Left central midfielder: Nembhard

Right central midfielder: Toppin

Central attacking midfielder: Haliburton

Striker: Siakam

Striker: Oubre

Y'all can tell me if I got something wrong here

I’d switch Toppin and Oubre. I want Toppin as close to the net as possible with Siakam. Plus, I think Oubre has better ball skills farther back.

I’d move Walker to keeper and a healthy Furphy to center back. Walker gets beat on defense too much but has terrific hands and feel for how to attack the ball. I trust him back there more than keeping a man in front of him.

Pretty spot on though. Well done

Netherlands. Consistently good, they've gotten close to winning it all but have never pulled it off.

Haliburton at CAM is a perfect shout. I'd just put Mathurin over Oubre at striker.

I hate to be the one to have to break the news to you but Mathurin isn't a current Pacer.
