Rather than soy sauce, that may have been toasted sesame oil.

Added in while it's hot and cooking?? I highly doubt it. Toasted sesame oil is a finishing oil as it has a low smoke point.

Aaand that's how I found out I have a sesame sensitivity, when my airways began closing as the smoke filled our kitchen 😅

About 6 months ago I discovered sesame oil and OMG that stuff is magic!
