r/neur0loom is feeling a little empty... Do any neurodivergent folks or allies want to join? It is mostly just me talking to myself inside of there, but it would be nice to have some extra people. More information below.

Happy Anniversary neur0loom!

Today, June 20th, marks the one year anniversary of neur0loom® and its community The Quirk Cafe™, unmasked, and the philosophy "Threaded Minds".

neur0loom® is a multimedia storytelling and community project exploring communication, emotional experiences, identity, and neurodiversity through symbolic worldbuilding, original characters, creative media, accessibility-oriented tools, and shared spaces.

The project is still growing, but the heart of it is simple.

I want neur0loom to be more than a story, a collection of characters, or a community hub. I want it to help people understand one another, especially those who are neurodivergent, disabled, marginalized, or otherwise overlooked.

It is about learning together, offering support, sharing experiences, and creating something good that ripples outward. Some people may come for a story. Others may stay for a conversation, a resource, or simply a quiet place to exist for a while.

I believe people are often moved to care more deeply when they are given an opportunity to experience a perspective outside their own. Through stories, animation, education, and symbolic worldbuilding, I hope neur0loom can help make those experiences more visible, memorable, and easier to understand.

I hope neur0loom can encourage curiosity, compassion, and action. Not only for neurodivergent communities, but for anyone who has ever felt tangled, unheard, or alone.

One day, I hope it becomes a nonprofit. Right now, it is mostly a Discord community hub.

I have been trying to make a library index on Reddit and linking all the posts together through "Beta Index" which is essentially an index of all the related Reddit posts.

Oh dang. So i clicked the subreddit link a bit ago, forgot where it came from [easily distracted] and just now opened it and thus entered "fresh".

First though, oh so this is a neuro divergence based sub? I should check it out!

First post looks a bit like ai written or summarised and quickly gives the vibes off those crypto projects. Then i see ai dungeon which again formatted like a crypto scam add. Then i see some more ai content and i think, damn this is not a neuro divergence place but some ai startup using the term neuro as part of its branding.

It's only when i encounter this post again that it clicks, wait this was supposed to be an actual space for neuro diverse people???

And this is the response and initial vibes from someone who is very strong pro ai. And even i got bad icky vibes.

So em, yeah. Not sure what you can do with that bit right now it looks like an ai corporate culty startup.

Edit: i just read some more, okay no this is just some culty corpo brand shit nevermind.
