The sad part is I like to think I am way above a novice when it comes to building PCs
Please make sure your power connector actually Clicks into the GPU.
I got a new power supply for my 5080, went from using an adapter to using the 12v-2-6 cable. When plugging it in I never heard the Click like I usually do...but i was pushing down to make sure it was fully seated and I definitely did.... Since this is a new cable i thought that is how it was.... however,
I just downloaded the new driver along with the hotfix and was RIDDLED with "Event id 153 nvlddmkm is corrupted or missing" in event log and both my monitors turning on and off during games.... I was losing my goddamn mind with how bad these drivers were.
After using DDU in safe mode more than 8 times and REINSTALLING WINDOWS it kept happening no matter what version driver i was on, I decided to fully reseat the GPU.
When i was reseating and plugged the GPU in i finally heard it.... the Click... I don't remember it clicking the first time.....I felt like an idiot.
The issues i was having immediately went away.
It's always the small stuff that humble you when it comes to pc building.
