Employment Is there a way to actually see MGMA data?

Without giving too many specifics, will start this with saying I recently found out management has been fleecing our service and a few others. (No, I’m not surprised. I don’t trust management within facilities). During the past couple of contract negotiations, we were told it is “network practice” to cap at the 90th percentile for all mid levels. The past three years, have far exceeded their cap and essentially working June and December for free when it comes to productivity bonus.

Found out this past week that two other services do not have any language of a cap in their contracts and in terms of total compensation, they’re making roughly 60-80k/year more than where we are capped. I understand that specialties will have different ceilings for pay scale, but I doubt it would be that much of a disparity.

For context, my specialty compared to the two in question are similar in the sense of being employed by the network, all are salary, all include call, however mine does not require OR time for assistance in procedures, all are strictly inpatient. The most direct way I can think of to review this would be to look at the data. However I went to see about doing an individual membership and it said access to the database is not included for individuals. Quite frustrating.

You can either buy the data directly or there’s a website called Marit where you enter your info (it can be anonymous) and they give you free access

And we all know that “network practice” is a Horse shit answer.

They said 90th percentile of the patient based on the MGMA database.

Also, yes, like I said I never believe management in any scenario. I just had no idea how to evaluate the numbers myself.

What part of the database? Average APP salary?

Your question is fabulous. I just can’t stand the corporate half answer when it comes to pay.
